Blood in vein flow extension

My father is on medication through IV . A nurse comes to put IV everyday. Today she put a new IV line with a three way and vein flow extension. Sometime back blood has come into the vein flow extension. What should we do ? Should we go to any nursing home ? There is no pain or edema there.
