Hello....... There are different types of birth mark, you should have posted photo of it.. The cause of most birthmarks is unknown. Most birthmarks need no treatment....if it's mole and it want to get rid of it will doctor will do a biopsy by shaving or cutting out the entire spot so that it can be evaluated under the microscope... Consult dermatologist.
