Best disease also called vitelliform macular dystrophy ii genetic disorder, in Best disease macula is affected. It is autosomal dominant, so one parent has Best disease & one does not, there is still 50%chance that their children will inherit the disease but children who don't develop disease, can not pass it on to their children. It's appearance of yellow yolk like lesion in macula,it causes progressive loss of vision, it was first discovered by German ophalmologist. In later stage Vision deteriorate to about 6/60& may not have serious Vision loss,others may lose vision in one eye but not the other. At present, no treatment for best disease. Many research is being made to identify genes responsible for Best disease, but still we have got no success.
