Hello , I'm a 12 year old girl and I'm 4"11.8 like almost 5'0 i am wondering if I should join basketball will it help Also some of the info My genetics Mother - 5'4 Sister 5'3 Father 5'7 And also I'm taller than many of my relatives or cousins I had an xray one year back and my prescribed doctor told me i had an advanced bone age ( i don't really know much about that ) I started my menstrual cycle at the age of 11 one week before my 11th bday My weight is 42kg and when i had my xray i was 49kg Thank you for reading till here , Kindly help Have a good day!

Since u have already started menstruating, i m afraid u won't gain much height now, probably around 3 cm more U can definitely join basketball but for better health and physical fitness

Cycling, skipping and basketball like sports can help. Once menstrual cycle starts, increment in height decreases. Avoid spicy and outside food. No or very less of outside food containing cheese like pizza, sandwich. Also less of nonveg food and eggs too. That can delay the hormonal process and may help.
