If you are having back pain and not subsiding, then you need to take a few days rest, avoid bending, avoid lifting weights.
Take stronger anelgesics + muscle relaxant with Antacid.
If pain still persists then consult a Neurospine specialist. There could be something deeper, like a disc bulge that is pressing on the nerve.
