This is normal temperature . No fever will rapidly disappear . It will keep coming and going . On giving calpol it will come down and then rise again when effect of calpol goes away . Mostly fever is due to viral infections which take about 3 to 5 days to go away . If the general condition of the child in between the fever episodes is fine i.e she is active , cheerful , feeds , urinated and poops normally , generally speaking there is not much to worry . However always remember some danger signs when ther is fever and which necessitate immediate hospital visit 1. Poor activity even when fever is down 2. Vomiting 3. Excessive loose stools 4. Breathing difficulty 5. Excessive crying 6. Abnormal movements of the body 7. Almost nil to very minimal water and food intake 8. Reduced urine output PS : As your baby is only 2 months old , I would suggest that you must show physically to the Pediatrician whenever she has fever as many subtle signs of a serious infection maybe missed out in small babies .  Also never self medicate such a small baby except for giving calpol drops for fever

98-100°F is usually taken normal, however it depends on the site it is measured e.g axilla, mouth, anus. Upto 100 is considerd normal variation in body temperature.
