I have a 11weeks old baby and she is crying a lot since evening. She cried the same way 3 weeks before when she had her vaccinations and I feel she is crying the same way today. Didn't want to feed as well and fed after a long while. Only thing I could see is a boil forming in bcg site and some insect bite like in legs. Will bcg boil/blister cause pain to baby? Also I can see a lump/knot in dtp site and it's been 3 weeks. Is it something to worry about?
it is pyloric spasm. Use proper feeding technique, help the child to burp, small feeds at a time. mostly it gets better with proper feeding technic, sometimes we use antispasmodics..
Next Steps
avoid arguments while baby taking feeds. Keep the patient in upright position
A small lump in the injection site of DTP is nothing to worry. If it's obvious then show a doctor. BCG can form a pustule and then break and again this process will continue for sometime. It does not cause pain.
Colic can cause pain or insect bites too can.
