hello.
appendicular lump usually follows a untreated appendicitis.
it's safe to say that appendicular lump is like a complication of appendicitis.
when the appendix is inflamed and not treated, the surrounding areas try to cover the area so as not not let the infection spread. omentum is one such structure which tries to do that.
you should without wasting further time, consult a general surgeon and get examined by him and show him this report.
surgery is inevitable.
as of now conservative treatment will be undertaken. and the surgery will be planned at a later date till the appendicular lump comes down.
it's a very small surgery without much complications and shorter hospital stay.
the complications of further untreated appendicitis are appendicular abscess, rupture appendix, peritonitis, septicemia, shock etc.
better to get it done ASAP.
hope this helps.
regards
