Hi , your description does sound like you have had stress reactions with secondary anxiety symptoms and some somatic symptoms. The medicine you mentioned is only part of the treatment. There are many things you should be doing to develop positive coping strategies. Practice relaxation techniques like breathing exercises, pranayama, yoga, meditation etc. Learn mindfulness techniques of being present to your emotions and not letting them affect your functioning and behavior. Address any underlying stresses. Schedule your activities in the day and focus on being in action irrespective of how you feel and at the same time not fighting with your emotions. With all these things you will start gaining control over your thoughts and emotions. Hence, makes it easy to stop medicines. However, these medicines are not addictive. Some people do experience what we refer to as discontinuation symptoms if abruptly stopped. Hence, take it for few months after becoming stable and gradually taper before stopping. But practice all the above advices too. Regards
