I was diagnosed with AS in 2013 (when i was 18). I was put on a regime of Sazo 1mg which I still take. Other than that, all was fine till last month when, after an intense swimming session, I felt weak and feverish. The next morning, I had gum pains due to the wisdom teeth stuck halfway through the 'coming out' process. Then started pains in the upper back area. I immediately visited a rheumatologist and was asked to take Myoril and Etoshine 90mg, the latter helping me go completely pain free to how I was before I was diagnosed with AS. But the pain started again when i stopped etoshine, though less severe than before. After 2 weeks, I visited rheumatologist again today, was prescribed Enbrel 50mg, but due to the exorbitant price of which I am hesitant to go ahead with for the time being. I've heard NSAIDs are the first line of treatment for AS, and since I haven't been on a proper regime of NSAIDs, is it safe to use the Etoshine tablets for a short time and see where that leads me?
