Is there an alternative treatment for bipolar disorder and ocd? I have been on medications for the last seven years and have gone through lot of side effects. I want a better treatment plan with less side effects.

Some medicines are better tolerated than other. Individual differences may be there. Medicines may be tailored as per client after considering various factors like comorbid conditions and past response to particular group of drug. Some side effects are temporary and some are dose dependent.- varies from person to person. OCD may be managed along with medications and various therapies like ERP, CBT. OCD are of different types. For eg obsessive doubts may interfere with your treatment compliance. Every person's situation is different though.

There are alternative medicines but cannot depend on only alternatives therapy to treat bipolar and ocd. These diseases are medical illness and need medical intervention apart from alternative therapy.
