Allergic Reaction

Can allergies change over time? I got a prick test done about 3 years ago and found out that I was allergic to a few things. Although, occasionally I consume those items in small quantities and nothing really happens. Am I not allergic to them anymore? Also, are there any meat based allergens? I wasn't a meat eater when I got the test done but started eating it later.

Hello there...I can understand your concern. One will usually becomes insensitive to food allergens over a period of 6 months to 5 years. So yes you can may not be allergic to certain foods you were allergic 3 years back. Coming to your second question, there are certain proteins in chicken and fish, which can be allergic to few people.
