Hi I'm 29 weeks pregnant, according to my interval growth scan my AFI is 13.4 cms. My gynecologist told that it is in lower normal side so I need to take IVF drips for five days. Is it really necessary to take the drips or can I improve the levels by taking extra fluids and rest.. please advice. Everything else is normal according to scan. I feel very scare d and uncomfortable to take drips, that too three hours per day for five days seems like a nightmare for me with a four year old kid to manage..

Hello...... Approximately it should be 14, that's the means value of AFI between 20 to 35 weeks of pregnancy.... Another 0.5 cm deficit... If you don't want you can tell doctor...Doctor will not compell you... If fetus is active and healthy you can evade drips... Take second opinion....
