Is dressing required for this wound? I had stitches before near the wound area and I got hurt again, should I start dressing the wound?

Please keep the wound open and clean it at least twice a day and apply an antibiotic ointment over it.
Next Steps
Look out for any foul smell or pus collection at the site and for any systemic symptoms like fever which would point to an infected wound.
