I am 39 weeks pregnant my due date is on may 24th . I was not asked to go for a scan at 38 weeks .My midwife checks in a small scan machine near her and make a rough estimate of water content ,baby heart rate and movements.should I ask her to write a growth scan so as to know the baby weight and water content as well my cervix length? She said she will wait five more days after duedate to see if I get pains naturally is it safe the baby to stay in the womb even after 40 weeks?
