Regarded as an eminent oncologist and having experience of visiting renowned cancer hospitals around the world, Dr. B. Ravi Shankar is presently working as a senior consultant and a clinical oncologist at Queen's NRI Institute of Oncology. Dr. B. Ravi Shankar is one of the most renowned Cancer Specialist (Oncologist) of Visakhapatnam. Gold medalist in MBBS and has a Post Graduate Masters Degree in Radiation Oncology. Attended various courses during 2006 to 2013 conducted by European Society of therapeutic radiation oncology. Evidence based oncology, at(Cairo), target delineation at (China), Molecular oncology at (poland), Combined drug and Radiation at (German), and IMRT conformal therapy at (Milan). Trained at world famous apex oncology institutions, like MD Anderson cancer centre. Houston in 2009, he visited the university of California San Diego in 2011 and clatter bridge cancer hospital, UK in 2012. Worked as a Senior Resident in Department of Medical Oncology IRCH AIIMS , New Delhi European certified medical oncologist in 2010 by passing ESMO examination. He is the first Indian to become the Fellow of ESTRO in 2013 after successfully completing examination in Geneva Switzerland. He has passed MRCP in medical oncology from Royal College UK September 2013. His paper was published in national journal of basic sciences, March 2013 volume 33. He published a paper on concurrent nimotuzumab with radiation in locally advanced cancer of oropharynx and hypopharynx in journal of cancer therapy April 2015. He has keen interest in clinical research and management of solid tumors.
