Mental health is a taboo and anyone who tries to speak up is denigrated. Yet, it was with great pain that I came to you for help. I visited you for a consult a few months back and was there on time, as per the appointment, at your hospital, only to find that you were pre-occupied with another patient.

I didn’t mind waiting for my turn because I needed help, I needed someone to tell me what was happening. I hoped that you, being one of the highest rated psychiatrists in Vizag, would listen to my troubles and give a conclusive diagnosis. But that wasn’t meant to be.

You didn’t ask me what caused my anxiety. You didn’t gauge my mental environment. To be honest you didn’t care why I came to you in the first place. All I got from you was a prescription, written on it was “mild depression” and one anti-depression which begs the question if it was that easy to diagnose depression just from a few words I uttered.

My entire consultation lasted 5 mins with a wait time of 45+ minutes and an astounding fee of 2000 rupees. I pretty much lost hope in your establishment when I was charged such an amount *** ** ************* **********

I know you wouldn’t care, but if you are reading this please understand that by not enquiring or not listening to the plights of your patients ***** ***** **** ****** **** ****** ******* ****** People come to you because nobody else will heed to their sobs and when you yourself won’t listen, your patients will lose hope.

I am under treatment since 2012. I was recommended by my village friends who underwent treatment here and are doing well. I recommend Dr. Ramanand Satapathy and Dr. Supriya Satapathy for their meticulous attention and treatment. I am taking only one tablet at bedtime and doing my job in a spin mill at Vijayawada.

My Father in law was suffering from Bipolar disorder since last 20 years and we could not get treatment from all doctors in India. We came to know about this doctor from a friend in USA. I don't suggest this doctor to anyone, could not contact him though vedeo call as he said he was facing technical issue. he directly called me and prepared me for the over the call consultation, I said ok for that too, he literally spent not more than 5 minutes and was not interested to listen to my problem. I felt spending 2000 rupees for his consultation is not worth. for everything he said he will suggest a pill post the consultation which I have still not received.

It would be much better if he chose a private space to speak during a session rather than talk when people are around him. Its hard to explain when you see someone else with your therapist. As you might be sharing some personal experience in private.

The doctor is very very nice and also the treatment and I recommend all. A rare doctor with compassion and love.
