Well where do I begin. I needed a dental treatment ASAP and I having a problem of loosing teeth one by one from the upper jaw due to porosity of upper jaw bone. So I thought let me look up online if there are any recommendations of a good dentist in Vadodara as I was visiting from abroad and had time to do the treatment even if it took two months or more. So did a. Google search and got connected with Practo.com which had a lot of recommendations of various dentists and doctors from the field of Dentistry and to my utter surprise I found a dentist who I thought would be a proper fit. So I called and booked my appointment and left to see THE DENTIST.
My treatment start date was 18th Jan, 2024. I met with THE DENTIST DR. Reshma Nilak who was a very attentive and a very good listener to what my dental problem was and I narrated her all my issues and history and todays stage of my oral hygiene.
She then examined me and I was not even prepared that she would start my treatment right away, I was under the impression of a consultation and cost and then when found appropriate we go to step one. But she did not vile her time much and started the treatment of cleaning, extraction and injecting anesthesia to further the treatment. After an hour my nose and jaw and face was quite numb due to 9 anesthesia injections injected to do 5 teeth extractions from upper jaw. Three were good, two were in dancing position. So all gone and I was profusely bleeding but 6 cotton gauzes were stuffed inside my mouth like Anthony Hopkins in the movie "Silence of the Lambs". I felt the same effect as one of the Lamb undergoing total silence. My saliva was drooling and I couldn't feel the same, it was good that my older brother was there to take me home.
Had to eat ice cream as nutritional requirement, to cool down my inflamed upper jaw line. Two days rest and then back to my dentist again. She prescribed me medication ( Doctors around the world prescribe medications like treats for their body) For myself more than one pill and my body starts to heat up. But then my Doctor understood my problem and she would write less medications only required ones.
Every alternate day I was at the Dentists office just like I had become an employee of her facility. And everyday something was done for my oral hygiene. Someday it would be cleaning, scaling, trimming, root canal, x-ray, photo session, smile enhancement, impressions upper jaw, impressions lower jaw, partial dentures, upper jaw dentures, Zirconia dentures, digital dentures and much more.
Dr Reshma Nilak has an associate dentist named by Dr. Nayyab Khan. The name speaks for the same. One thing which I noticed and LOVED was that their body language of both doctors was of caring and understanding what treatment is required and would make you comfortable of sharing some age old recipe by talking softly and in a considerate manner. Which I always giggled at in my brains. As where I come from we have all the world class treatments available but no EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE (this word was taken from my dentist itself) used when dealing with patients. Very TOUCHED by the meaning and understanding of the same. The West should learn something about the same..
My treatment kept on going someday it would be mornings, sometimes afternoon, some time evenings. Traveling in evenings from Nizampura to Manjalpur is like RUSH HOUR and you have to be very careful of driving so as to save your existing tooths, because I use to go back and forth on bike. And not used to unorganized driving patterns.
The dentist has one MOST IMPORTANT person without whom they both cannot perform there regular duties is Hemlata Bhen Sawant. She is all eyes and ears when the doctor is doing her job or attending the patients in the reception area. For me I felt like I went on a shoot at Dr Nilak's studio where in the movie "Teen Deviyan" was being shot and every single day I would learn something new about dentistry.
My treatment was done one day prior departing home and my family was waiting for my new smile. I WILL RECOMMEND Dr. Reshma Nilak, Dr. Nayyab Khan and Manager Hemlata Sawant as the GO TO PLACE FOR YOUR DENTAL REQUIREMENTS.
If you have any allergies to medication or latex do let them know and they will take care of the same. For me it was latex gloves.
I should have met the Doctor when I came in year 2012 or 2016 but no worries it was still worthwhile.
