Dr would not start any anti biotic treatment untill root cause of the disease is investigated. Till then he’ll put you on pain relievers or pain killers( only in extreme cases)

He will explain to the full motive behind the medicine dosage and its tenure before putting you on any solid medicinal course. His monitoring during and post the course is also really commendable. His tips regarding future prevention from such a disease is also very much helpful.
