Dr. Subhaprakash Sanyal

Dr. Subhaprakash Sanyal is a highly experienced Consultant Haematologist with over 14 years of expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of haematological disorders. He specializes in haematological malignancies such as acute and chronic leukaemias, myeloma, and lymphomas, and is skilled in administering chemotherapy and managing its complications. Dr. Sanyal also has significant expertise in managing hemoglobinopathies like thalassemia and sickle cell anemia, including prenatal diagnosis and genetic counseling. He is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of bone marrow failure syndromes and is actively involved in managing liver and kidney transplants, focusing on pre-surgical workups and post-transplant coagulation issues. Additionally, he has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of venous thrombosis. Dr. Sanyal completed a prestigious Fellowship at Vancouver General Hospital and the BC Cancer Agency in Canada, where he gained extensive experience in Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplants, including autologous, related, and unrelated allogenic transplants, as well as umbilical cord transplants. He also holds a Fellowship in Lymphoma from the BC Cancer Agency.
