Dr. Sayali Chitnis

Dr. Sayali Chitnis has completed her MBBS from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai in 2008. She has a gold medal in Paediatrics to her credit. She completed her Post-graduation (DNB) in Ophthalmology from Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Centre , Pune in 2012. After which she was associated with institutes like PD Hinduja Hospital and Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and General Hospital, Mumbai.She has done her Fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases at the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai during 2013-2015. During this period she gained immense experience in her speciality and is well versed with managing all Cornea related conditions and performing Corneal surgeries including Corneal transplants and Keratoprosthesis (Artificial Cornea). She also completed her cataract surgery (Phacoemulsification technique) training from the same Institute. She has done a Refractive Surgery (LASIK) accreditation course from the Singapore National Eye Centre.She has a keen interest in Clinical Research and has presented papers in various International and National Conferences. She has been awarded the Fellowship from the International Council of Ophthalmology (UK). She has authored publications in National and International Scientific Journals.She has been actively involved in teaching and training of Postgraduate Students and Fellows. She has been a part of many community outreach programs especially Cataract camps and Eye Donation awareness.
