Dr. Alok Modi

I have diabetes since Jul 2013 and heart problem since 2014. I did not undergo angiography or bypass surgery. I stay at Dombivali. I have come to Dr Alok Modi on the reference of my daughter who is also a doctor. I come regularly from Dombivali for Dr Alok Modi's treatment. My neighbor also comes to Dr Alok Modi from Dombivali and she strongly recommended Modi sir to us. Since then, I am under his treatment, Sir is very polite, speaks to me nicely, I have not been admitted here at his hospital once and my treatment is very smooth under him for so many years. Very satisfied with Dr Alok Modi's care for me.

My father was admitted last year in ICU at Kevalya hospital in a critical condition in heart failure. He recovered well after a long struggle in the ICU and since then we are regular patients of Dr Alok Modi and following up with him sincerely. Touchwood, he has not had a single complication so far and is doing very well after discharge.

Kevalya hospital services are very good, hospital is neat and clean, nursing care is caring and polite* ******* ********* ** **** **** *** my fathers life was saved.

It was really a very pleasant experience. I was highly scared and paranoid when I was tested positive for COVID'19. And had consulted a couple of doctors. However, I was not feeling confident with them. Then one of my close friends recommended me Dr. Alok and he insisted that I should consult him once. When I approached Dr. Alok he really invested lot of time in terms of understanding how all this episode started. He asked me relevant questions and was patient enough to understand my part, as in my case I had some changes happening in my body gradually like I had loose motion some 15-20 back, I had ear infection 8 days back and suddenly there was a blade patch which developed out of the blue on my head. He then connected the dots and have explained me the causation of this and post that has also instructed me what all I should watch for the upcoming days, his instructions and guidance were absolutely crip. In true sense he stood by me and my family as GOD. I would highly recommend Dr Alok to everyone, as a society we are blessed to have professionals like Dr. Alok who are going beyond their call of duty to help the society and guide them. After reading the reviews we visited this doctor and to my surprise it was a very different experience, instead of addressing the issue, he was going off topic and giving us some speech! I did not pay him for this speech. I am an athletic person and he was not ready to listen to that part instead he was just going on and on about what he suggests.

My mother was admitted on Oct 1 2020 in the ICU at Kevalya hospital for severe breathlessness and diabetes and fever. She was suspect covid patient. She was subsequently not detected to have covid and so we could complete treatment here at Kevalya hospital.

We found Kevalya very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. The administrator was very helpful and guided us throughout the journey.

We got a feeling that our mother was very safe here and we were at ease when she was in the ICU especially as her age is 81 years.

We were under treatment of Dr Alok Modi and he would update us about her condition everyday.

Dr Alok Modi put us at ease as we came with the perception that this is a major issue and we were not able to come to terms with my mothers' condition when we got admitted at Kevalya. Dr Alok Modi was not seen focusing on financial aspect which is what we have seen at other hospitals. Billing was reasonable over here at Kevalya hospital.

My mother told me that staff comes at fixed time to give nursing care, clean her regularly, gave medicines on time.

We would recommend Kevalya hospital and Dr Alok Modi to the community over here.

I was admitted with very high blood pressure and I have a black nodule on my forehead. I was admitted under Dr Alok Modi for high blood pressure and my biopsy was done by surgeon Dr Alpa Modi.

Kevalya hospital is neat and clean, and in my opinion is the best hospital in Godhbunder road. Nurses are friendly, attentive and careful.

I stay in Vijaynagri annexe on Godhbunder road near Kevalya hospital. Admitted twice on Aug 5 and Sep 3 2020 for heart attack. I had good recovery.

Kevalya hospital had excellent nursing care, Staff speaks to the point and are very polite. Treatment given on time, Dr Alok Modi is very gentlemanly, he has courtesy towards middle class and poor people and he is not after money, but he is after patient's problem solving. I find him like a head of family towards his own staff and towards his patients too. My experience is good and I am very grateful on his treatment.

Hospital billing is economic, affordable, not very costly .

Hospital neat and clean and hygiene is well maintained.

Dr. Alok Modi & Dr. Alpa Modi *** ***** ******* *** they have been of a great help to our family in all our critical times and have helped us several times. They are so humble and down-to-earth that they not only make the patient feel comfortable but also their relatives. There were several instances where they have been of great assistance to our family out of which the 3 critical situations where the doctors have played a role of life-saver for our family are highlighted below:

1. Dengue

My brother was diagnosed with Dengue in Oct 2009 and was very critical then, we changed 03 hospitals in Andheri West but his health was getting deteriorated with every minute. On my Uncle’s visit, looking at the emergency of the hour he spoke to Dr. Alok Modi who informed to shift my brother immediately to Kevalya Hospital in Thane.

Around 1.00 am ambulance was arranged and my brother was shifted to Kevalya Hospital, Thane. Dr. Alok Modi gave the priority to see him without considering the time and started the medication and treatment immediately. And to our surprise he started recovering very fast and within one week of his admission he was discharged.

2. Cancer

CANCER. When my father was diagnosed with Cancer we were clueless as to how to go ahead with his treatment. Loads of questions started popping up in our minds. We all were very confused, sad, depressed, shattered specially because firstly we were not prepared for such kind of situation and secondly his results were out one day before Diwali i.e. Nov 10, 2015 & hence all the doctors were on leave and the hospital authorities told us to come after Diwali.

That is when we took an opinion of Dr. Alpa Modi & Dr. Alok Modi. We stay in Andheri west and the Hospital is in Thane but still we immediately rushed him the same night i.e. Nov 10, 2015 at around 10.00 pm & both the Doctors attended my dad the same night on high priority. The next day they told us do few tests and confirmed that he had stomach cancer and that the operation needs to be done at the earliest. Dr. Alok Modi monitored & controlled his Diabetic levels and other parameters for approx. one week and on Nov 19, 2015 Dr. Alpa Modi along with Dr. Nilesh Choradia performed the critical surgery which lasted for almost 13 hours and with God’s grace & Doctors hard work the operation was successful.

3. Pyelonephritis

Recently in Jan 2017, my father was diagnosed with Pyelonephritis and was very critical, his temperature had shot to 105.2 C, his BP levels were very low, his body & hands were trembling badly. Immediately we rushed him to Kevalya Hospital and on the same day they did the CT scan test, Urine culture, PCT & related tests to detect the main reason for the health issue. Since he was very critical the doctors shifted him to ICU immediately where they were continuously monitoring all the parameters and within 5 days of keeping him in ICU he started recuperating. Later he was shifted to the normal ward and within 5 days he was discharged.

We didn’t realise how critical his condition was and Dr. Alok Modi treated the whole situation so well by not allowing the stress to come on us at the same time ensuring the right blend of medication was given to my father as per his expertise. Only after the illness was brought under control Dr. Modi shared the extreme consequences of Pyelonephritis and with my father already being a Cancer & Diabetic patient it was next to impossible to have him recovered, which is when we realised the criticality of the entire situation.

We are really grateful to Dr. Alok Modi & Dr. Alpa Modi and thank them for their support at such critical situations which kept our will power strong to overcome such tough situations. My dad and brother are doing great today. Over the years both the doctors have been of a great help to our family and have always acted like a life-saver. We trust them in every aspect and decision that they take for the wellbeing of our family.

I got recommended and got admitted my maidservant's daughters at Kevalya hospital for very low blood. She was very weak and I have admitted her under Dr Alok Modi at Kevalya hospital. She was examined properly, work up for low blood hemoglobin and anemia was done . He himself did a bone marrow examination at Kevalya hospital.

I am happy to say that she was given blood transfusions and medicines and she has recovered very well. remaining treatment Dr Alok Modi plans to do on day care so that my hospital expenses do not increase.

Hospital is neat and clean and reception staff is excellent and very responsive. Well managed administration. The doctors and the concerned staff are taking due care of the patient and response very quickly to the needs of the patient.

First, I would like to talk about Dr.ALOK MODI who has extended invaluable support in person to attend the case at home on our phone request and also for shifting my Aunt who was a Patient in need of Emergency treatment since she got mild Heart stroke and sugar levels dropped to 35 to the Hospital by his own CAR while it was heavily raining and there was a huge traffic congestion and finally ensured that treatment is given by him in ICU on time.

We are truly Grateful for Doctor's kind service on Moral grounds.

During treatment, we have always been able to reach and talk to Doctor.

Willingness to answer questions with smile at our entire satisfaction and dedication in attending Patient's needs quickly are highly appreciated and this approach gave us homely feeling.

Treatment has been given not only with Professionalism but also with Care by keeping a constant watch on Patient on Bed. This built trust, faith & confidance in us.

Services of all internal departments like, Admin, Housekeeping, Pharmacy etc are very good which collectively created an healthy and Hygiene environment.

It's nice to be treated well since Patient is in need of Care and we are Gartful & fortunate that we have such facility where all emergency services are available under one roof close to our home.

We had to run nowhere here and there for any tests or medicines till Discharge.

Doctor and all staff here made us feel that we were in safe hands and even made us smile when we left.
