The Journey So Far…
Dr. Ankit Desai started off his professional training in 2005 wherein he completed his dental degree and his Master's program in India. As if proving his brilliance in academics was just not enough, he cleared the masters with a GOLD MEDAL. He went onto various training institutes in India and abroad to join the stalwarts and received advanced training in Implant Dentistry. Due to his strong work ethic, In 2016, he received the national nomination for “Implantologist of the year”, and was honoured with the prestigious “Highly Commended Periodontist Award” (considered The Oscars in Dentistry) by the renowned dental bodies of India.

Throughout his professional journey, he has gained tremendous knowledge in Periodontology (problems related to gum Diseases, commonly known as “Pyorrhea” in India), Dental Implantology, and Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Ankit Desai, among some of the best dental surgeons in Surat, has authored 16 Publications and co-authored a book in the field of Dentistry. Due to his outstanding research paper presentation, the Indian Society of Periodontology honoured him with the “Brig. Dr. J. K. Gupta Award 2013” and some of his papers are well cited by researchers from all around the world.

Currently, along with his private practice, he maintains the director post of the ITI study club (International Team for Implantology) of Surat. In the past, he was serving as the faculty at Ahmedabad Dental College & Hospital (ADC, Ahmedabad) and as an Executive Member of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) as well as Adajan Dentists’ Club (ADC) of Surat. He happens to be a volleyball enthusiast and loves light-hearted entertainment the few times when he doesn’t have Dentistry on his mind.read less
