Karin obtained her Master in Clinical Psychology from James Cook University. She has clinical experience with children with autism and ADHD, adults suffering from depression and anxiety, as well as delivers psychological assessment for learning disorders. She specialises in the following techniques: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with adults and children, motivational interviewing, Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) with children and reality therapy with adults and children.She completed her undergraduate years in Psychology at Curtin University of Technology and spent 7 years studying and working in Perth, Western Australia. Working experience in Australia consists of research involving violent sex offenders at the Department of Justice in Western Australia, and delivering ABA to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Delays. Through internships in Singapore, she gained experience in working with diverse populations of psychiatric patients (i.e. personality disorders, mood disorders and anxiety disorders) and cardiac patients at a local hospital to improve quality of life by making necessary lifestyle changes (i.e. smoking cessation, managing blood pressure and diabetes, preparation for death and dealing with bereavement).
