Dr. E.J.Joshi descends from a family of traditional Ayurvedic physicians spanning a few generations in the Thrissur district of Kerala, India. As a result he grew conversant with Ayurvedic herbs from an early age and gained insight into the traditional methods of preparation of Ayurvedic medicines. He completed his BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) in 1985 from the Ayurveda College, Coimbatore, under the University of Madras and has over 30 years of experience as an Ayurvedic physician. After practicing as an Ayurvedic doctor under the guidance of the eminent Ayurvedic physician Prof. T.N. Krishnan Moosad, he started his own hospital providing in-patient facilities in Calicut district of Kerala. After 10 years, he was appointed as Medical Officer in the Department of Indian Systems of Medicine, Govt. of Kerala. He held this post in the Thrissur district of Kerala for 10 years until he opted to work in Singapore. He has been in Singapore since 2006. From 2008 to 2011 he was one of the three directors who started Ayush Ayurvedic Pte Ltd Singapore. Also was a full time Ayurvedic consultant there. In 2011 he took over Kerala Ayurveda Centre Pte Ltd along with his wife Dr. Bindu Ancy Joshi.
