He has additionally completed a one-year internship at The Vidyasagar Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (VIMHANS Hospital), New Delhi.
He has experience dealing with severe mental illness as well as providing supportive therapy to those finding it difficult to cope with day to day stressors. He also has experience with issues pertaining to Sexuality and Gender and has worked with individuals belonging to the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA) community.
Additionally, Victims of abuse and those suffering traumatic events have also found comfort and support from him. He has trained and volunteered with Connecting NGO as a psychologist on their suicide prevention helpline, dealing with callers in distress.
Having an avid interest in martial arts since he was a child, he found, through the magic of movies, his first mentor in Bruce Lee and Lee's philosophy helped shape his growth as an individual. He is spiritually inclined and believes that spirituality if harnessed correctly, may be a source of tremendous strength to an individual and/or community. An animal and nature lover, he also trained in Animal Assisted Therapy, he believes there is much to learn from animals and nature if only we take the time and effort to be open to these elements.
Since his early years, he has had the urge to help those in need; this urge has given direction to his interests and consequent career in mental health.
