Our conversation was very friendly and inclusive. We discussed most of the issues related to my wrong counts quite well.
I am 53 years old and despite being into sports and other physical activities I have always been overweight. The main reason I feel is that I am a foodie and have this uncontrollable urge to eat whenever I see something edible.
So I visited Dr Desai to help me go on a diet. This was the first time in my life I was trying this out and thus had some apprehensions and misgivings about it. My initial interaction with her turned out to be very different from what I had expected. I thought she would be a very stern person and would scold me when I told her about my lifestyle and eating habits. On the contrary she listened to me very intently and pointed out to me the positives in my lifestyle. Regarding my eating habits she suggested some changes rather than anything radically different.
I felt she was really an emphatic listener and has a very encouraging way of motivating people. During the course of my treatment I used to go astray (as one would expect. You don’t kick a 53 year old habit in couple of months). I used to tell her like a delinquent school boy that I had been naughty with my diet. She actually told me that it is ok to indulge once in a way and not feel very bad or guilty about. But it is important to compensate that over the next few days or meals.
This was a very sane piece of advice as I don’t see myself living with the rest of my life like a stoic monk. It has helped me come to terms with my weakness for food and how to control and compensate my diet. Most importantly, she helped me change my lifestyle in a manner I did not feel I was sacrificing too much. So I sincerely believe this method is sustainable.
Of course time will tell. However, for the 3 months I was being consulted by her my weight reduced by 8kgs. This has not happened to me for many many years. It is still on a decreasing trend and if I can get rid of another 5 to 6 kgs I should be very pleased with myself.
I would strong recommend Dr Desai as she works on the mind of her patients rather than on their body. There were a lot of good conversations we had which helps one clear ones own doubts.

Well, my IBS problem had started almost 4 years ago and I was really under the rain with multiple treatments but all on vain. I was anxious to go out or do things and somewhere I had accepted that this is the new normal. So struggling with this I thought I should consult a nutritionist just to see what's what and the only regret I have with this that why didn't I see her 4 years ago. I have never felt lighter and agile since the last four year, I feel good and am willing to go out and explore things again. I really thought things would never change but it did and it did for the best. So I would like to thank Geeta ma'am to give me a ray of hope again!
She is an excellent practitioner and nutritionist. I had visited her for consultation of my 3years old daughter who was really fussy in eating. She was able to help me very quickly with the issues that I presented to her in our first visit. Though she judiciously gave 1.5 hours just to sort out the diet of my daughter where in I gave her very less options which is preferred by the little.******* ** ***** ********** ******* *** ***** ***** *** *** **** ********* ****.
Apart from just giving the nutrition plan what I really appreciate about her is the way she gives some home tips/ recepies/finger food options/and some really helpful guidance on how to introduce a child to different taste and food.
It's was 21st of March 2017 that I had met her for consultation and then she continuously took a follow up with me and asked regarding my daughter's diet and trust me it's this date that my daughter eats almost everything.
Right from green veggies to various pluses, egg..etc. in short a proper diet which is required by a child.
I feel like I am on the right track for the first time in selecting her for nutrition consultation for my daughter. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

Well 100 words will not be enough to describe my experience with Dr Geeta Desai. In today's fast moving world it is extremely rare that one can interact with a Doctor like her who is highly motivational and energetic. Have visited her for advise on weight loss, owing to the fact that I have just survived Cervix Cancer stage III had many premonitions. Her weight loss program has not only helped me to build my lost endurance and strength in fact it has made me highly disciplined.. and yes in last 1 and half month have lost 2 inches and around 3 kgs. Best part of being with her is that the weight loss happens in a natural way by doing the right things. Am sure many of us look for quick weight loss and wonder how by just walking or eating right can help in sudden reduction… however she is the one who will help you to achieve the right balance which will have life long positive effects. I was in search of a good dietician from a long time when one day fortunately I stumbled on Desai ma'am's Diet Counselling blog.
That was it. I met her the very next day after taking an appointment and enrolled for a 6 month weight loss package. Though I was skeptical for the first time to meet her, all this vanished as soon as I got the 'Diet Chart' from her, which mentioned the quantity of food. And no kidding, it was more than what I used to eat. So, it was a welcome change for me as I am a big foodie but mostly prefer homemade food. Slowly and steadily I started seeing change in my body, more toned and the cellulite disappearing. To be frank, I was 7-8 kgs more my ideal weight, so, there was no fast weight loss(more obese people tend to loose weight faster than people like me who are already just few kgs here n there) but nevertheless diet and exercise routine has helped me stay fit and active and develop good eating habits.
All in all, It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend Geeta Desai Ma'am for people who want to loose weight sensibly and forever.

I am so satisfied and happy that Geeta Mam has given me the diet based on my routine and food that I eat daily. ( I was bit worried before visit how can I ask few things but later her friendliness made me so comfortable that I forgot she was my consultant and I literally felt like I was talking with my friend) I asked her so many questions which she answered tirelessly & even explained me in details. I was confused about different diet forms where she told me pros and cons of that specific diet. Consulting from her I got knowledge of some misconceptions I had since childhood about diet. The best thing was she listed all the health problems I am facing and planned my diet accordingly.

Me and my mother went for weight loss diet counselling. The diet program which she recommended helped both of us a lot to decrease our weight and increase our metabolism. I suggest you all to follow the 4 months program along with regular exercise since it naturally helps to decrease the weight. The best thing about the plan is that you can follow the same diet throughout your life and it will keep your health physically well maintained.I was impressed with the explanation which she gave us about the plan. She is very much educated and experienced in the field.
It was a really great experience, as I noticed considerable changes in my health.
I being an 1st year architect student, have got a hectic schedule used to feel drained very often. By following the diet plan given by Mrs Desai it definitely helped to a great extent.
Two things which struck me the most were the explanation about as to why I used to feel tired due to my sugar levels going down, and the healthy snacks n fruits to grab for.
Other was the advice to have daal and rice with a bit of lemon squeezed on it; I was definitely able to notify the change I felt as the lemon helps to absorb 50% more of it's nutrients.
