We wanted to consult a gynae for our very first pregnancy planning that is pre-conception counselling. We had just shifted to Pune from Mumbai. Being new in Pune and with no much knowledge about best hospitals or gynae near by our place, we just googled online and found Umarji hospital listed with very good ratings. After going through almost all the reviews we decided to give a visit and get the experience ourselves.

As we visited the hospital, initial things we noticed were cleanliness and politeness of the staff/nurses receiving the patients. Everything was systematic and well managed. Nurse at OPD noted the basic health information of me and then we were sent to Dr. Chinmay. I still remember the first meeting with him. He welcomed us with a big smile and friendliness. This made us a lot relaxed and calm. During the complete counselling Dr. Chinmay was listening very carefully and could exactly understood what we wanted to say or ask. No miss communication or miss understandings. It did not take us more time to realise **** ** *** * ***** ********* *** ********* ** ***** ********* ** ** *** ******* *** **** *********** ** ****** *** *********** ********* *********. I am glad that we found Dr. Chinmay and visited him before planning pregnancy which gave me a lot of positivity and confidence before staring the new phase in my life.

After that, there was no question of considering any other doctor for our pregnancy. I must admit that the experience we had during our first visit; everything remains the same even today. Since an ex biology student, I always had a keen interest and admired how our body functions miraculously. Whenever I used to discuss any queries or read online information with Dr. Chinmay he would actually appreciate it and encourage me to read more by sharing the reliable information sources present online. He would also discuss the medical explanations, information in much better way that we could understand.

During the hard times of COVID like most of us, our parents too wanted us to leave Pune and come back to our native place. However, my husband quite firm and sure not to leave Pune and did not want our baby delivered by anyone else than Dr. Chinmay now 😊. Umarji hospital has supported a lot to all the expectant mothers through regular online informative sessions and Q&A even during this stressful COVID times.

I wanted to go for normal delivery as it insures better health and immunity for mother and child. Also, I wished to take care of my baby from the day one, which is possible with normal delivery. I visited Dr. Chinmay Umarji after reading reviews on google, but when I met him I was sure that the doctor is not just following best medical practices but he is very much concerned about spreading awareness which is very much needed in our society. I was amazed to experience the concept of birthing partner. I was all time accompanied by my mother which gave me tremendous strength throughout the process. As of now I have only heard of the concept of birthing partner but at Umarji Hospital I experienced the joy. My experience did not just stop at delivery process but aftercare provided was very good right from explaining the importance of Breastfeeding, health care after delivery for mother as well as baby was a great experience. The hospital is having huge team of doctors, nurses and other staff with best possible canteen facilities even during covid situation. All the doctors are very good with similar mindset as Dr. Chinmay. One more very important thing about this hospital is that it is equipped for almost every emergencies and facilities, we never had to go anywhere for any issue during and after delivery. We are fortunate to find this hospital well within time. Also, the hospital is very good with every parameter such as cleanliness, nurses assistance etc. One more very important thing about the doctor is that he conducts regular webinar about different types of delivery, pros and cons of it, how to prepare for delivery, aftercare and many more important issues where he shares important information all this taking out considerable time from his busy schedule. only thing that can be added to existing facilities is a wall clock in patient’s room. The journey of letting goFor many mothers, losing post pregnancy weight is always an issue. Twenty two years ago, I was blessed with a son and the weight I had gained then, I was carrying until now. A chance meeting with Ms Maheshwary got me started on my journey inwards. All the diets I had tried before got me to ‘lose’ weight. But somehow, this lost weight found its way back to me. This time, I did not lose weight. I willingly let it go. Ms Maheshwary delved deep into my personal, physical and psychological history. No one had ever done that and I doubt anyone does. We visited Umarji hospital for pre pregnancy and post that continued the treatment till delivery. One of the best thing about this hospital that you don’t need to rush anywhere for anything.... be it diet counseling, blood tests, and most importantly in pregnancy the different types of sonographies. They have all the facilities and advanced version of facilities under one roof. I was diagonsed with gestational diabetes from day one of my pregnancy and with the consultation of Dr. Shruti we managed to reach 8th month without insulin. Throughout pregnancy one of the important area is psychological treatment which is at par in Umarji hospital. Dr. Chinmay and his team is very friendly and are always available for their patients. They explaine each and every thing in details and answer all your queries with patience. After the hospitalisation also they keep coming and motivate you. The nursing staff is also very well trained and friendly you will not feel that you are in hospital it feels like you are with your extended family. They also allow your partner to be with you through out your delivery process which I believe is very important as fathers can also witness the birth. I will definitely recommend Umarji Hospital to those who are in dilemma which hospital to choose for pregnancy without giving any second thoughts you can visit Umarji Hospital.
