Consultation for my 26 year old son. A routine blood test suggested by his company before the Covid-19 vaccination revealed that he was exceeding on the Total cholesterol levels and some other parameters by very small margins, on the papers the readings didn't seem to be alarming. He is of the cautious kind in food, having given up on oily fried things, sweets and aerated drinks a long time ago plus he is a teetotaller, never ever had alcohol or tobacco in any form. Naturally this report made him nervous, anxious and angry.

I got an appointment with Dr Sonali for his consultation. She and her Dad; Dr Avinash Inamdar, spent more than 90 minutes helping him understand the science behind cholesterol and it's ramifications. She helped him ease his anxiety by patiently answering all his queries and did a ECG and a 2D echo to rule out any possible anomalies. She showed deft skills in handling and addressing his fears in a empathetic way. This soothened his nerves and he has taken the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine arranged for him by his office.
