Dr. Pushkar Waknis

I had been suffering because of my wisdom tooth for a while when I consulted Dr. Waknis and he suggested we get it out. Its a scary thought to have to get a tooth extracted. But viola my tooth was out before I knew it with bare minimal pain. He was very polite & calm throughout the procedure and also encouraged getting in touch with him in case of any issues or doubts regarding my procedure and after care. I now recommend him to all my family & friends. :)

Nearly 17 years ago I met Dr.Pushkar for the very first time as my Dad was being treated by him. Accompanying my parents on every follow-up, my mom casually mentioned the pain I had on the left side of my face and head which left me exhausted and weak occasionally. I still remember numerous visits to multiple doctors suggesting n number of treatments unfortunately having no effect, Dr Pushkar gently heard her out and asked me a couple of questions and suggested just one homeopathic medicine which literally costed me Rs 12 only and never have I ever encountered the pain and agony till date. That casual 15 minutes of interaction left a huge impression on me as I could get back to normal without worrying about the sudden pain attacks that had terrorized me for quite some time. Cut to 17 years later, on one of my visits to my dentist, I was introduced to the fact that I have horizontal third molars and they would need to be extracted someday by a surgeon. On asking advice from my dentist I was told it’s a critical surgery as the angle at which my teeth are would make it more difficult and rather complicated. Worried again, I only had one doctor in my mind whom I wanted consult and that was Dr Pushkar, I had heard the mention of Dr Pushkar from a few of my acquaintances pursuing Dental studies, so I was aware he is still in Pune. I got in touch with him via a simple text message and the next minute I had all the details on where and when I could visit him, would also like to mention that it was an off day and he was supposed to be at the hospital only for a visit but he still entertained my request and agreed to meet me which amazed me a lot. On the day of appointment, the moment I entered the doors to the office, I felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease he looked at the issue and advised an X-ray which took around an hour and a half to get done but he patiently waited at the hospital for me to get back again to mention even though it was an off day. In the next 15 mins he advised me on the surgical process in a very personalized way without a hint of criticality just like a patient would like to hear it. It was his word and I was ready for the surgery in the next three days he personally helped me with getting all the tests done for the report as it was critical due to the current Covid rush. At any point I felt the need to ask him something I would message him and would get the reply instantly I mean wow where do I find such crisp professionalism, I felt cared for, and completely at ease. Dr. Pushkar has gone above and beyond to be sure that my wellness has been made first priority also considering I had to travel out soon, the surgery was scheduled aptly to ensure I face no further issues down the line. I was so relaxed on the day of surgery knowing I was in safe hands. Additionally, he also helped me with my insurance issues multiple times never have a come across anyone who is so gentle while dealing with patients. Doc you are amazing! Needless to say, you have been so compassionate and empathetic and so exceptional to talk to. Hands down the best doctor that I have met so far. To sum it up all I can say is if you have any issue just talk to Dr Pushkar once and leave the worries to him nothing can ever go wrong if you are being treated by him.

Apologies for such a long testimonial but the association has been so long that this is just and abstract out of all I would like to say about Dr Pushkar.

Doctors are angels sent by God for humanity. Dr pushkar waknis for me is no less than an angel who was in charge of my case. I met with a severe accident on 9th August 2020.i had thirteen fractures in both my Jaws and mouth area. My entire face was distorted post accident.i had lost 5 of my front teeth. I was admitted to Deenanath hospital and whoever came to know about my accident, suggested only dr waknis to us. My case was handed to him and from that moment irrespective of the seriousness of my case, I knew I was in the safest hands. From the 1st minute of my association with him, he has been my biggest support in the most difficult times. I underwent a major surgery 3 days post accident. It was a 6 hours long surgery. I was admitted for just 3 days post surgery in Deenanath. Through out, dr pushkar and his colleague dr gandhali have been with me.They have given me enormous post surgery support for last 4 months. Day 1 of my accident, even I couldn't recognise my face in the mirror. Today there is not a single scar on my face and today no one can even believe when I tell them I had such a severe accident. After the jaw operation, now a lot of dental rehabilitation work has to be done and dr pushkar and his team are guiding me on the same. Dr pushkar is not just a doctor, he is a man on mission. I am patient of Dr.wakins since September 2020, i had a major accident during covid i almost died, my complete face was damaged. Actually this is the second time that my wife had to undergo a tooth extraction. My wife Manisha Chowdhury had an unfortunate accident appox 15 yrs back when she used to stay in Aurangabad. Due t this accident her entire jaw was fractured & she had to undergo a series of dental surgery to restore her jaw. Recently two years back both her wisdom teeth had to be extracted and our family dentist recommended us to visit Dr.Puskar Waknis . Since my wife already had a serious dental surgery way back , hence she had to be treated with a special care. Dr. Pushkar waknis was absolutely brilliant in handling such a patient and the wisdom teeth extraction was very carefully operated. Again after two years my wife went thru a similar trauma as two of her teeths had decayed completely. So immediately we rushed to Dr. Pushkar Waknis, who immediately examined her & initially suggested to go for a root canal which will save the teeths, but since my wife who already had a history and was not willing to go through the lengthy procedure of root canal we decided to extract the teeths and accordingly we mentioned this to Dr. Pushkar Waknis. I was suffering from pain because of wisdom tooth & I visited Dr Waknis for the same. I also told him that soon I had to go overseas for my studies. My wife Neelam Veer had an accident (RTA) on 16th Nov 2018. After getting preliminary treatment from local hospital at Baner we shifted her to Ratna Memorial Hospital. Her case was referred to Dr. Pushkar Waknis. On the very first day of doctor's visit and examination of the patient, Dr.Waknis explained us about the multiple injury to my wife's face. He showed me the CT scan images and informed about the surgical procedure in depth. I was surprised when he informed me the date of operation as also the date of discharge after surgery. Dr. Pushkar Waknis performed surgery of open reduction and internal fiation of right orbit +zygoma+cr#arch+claw repair on 21.11.2018. The surgery was successful and after surgery also he informed us about the patient's condition, her recovery and severity of fractures.
