Dr. Paras Lavatre

1 year back I was partying for an entire week, gave very little rest/sleep to myself and abused my health by having a very unhealthy lifestyle. During that week while watching a depressing/twisted movie at a movie hall late night show, I felt stressed. Same night after getting myself checked up at 24X7 emergency ward probably due to some miscommunication, the ward doctor prescribed me sleeping+anxiety pills for 5 nights which i did not need at all. Anyways after 5 days of completing that course I became victim to the pill...I had very strong withdrawal symptoms which lead to insomnia. Insomnia lead to stress, panic attacks, anxiety, palpitations as soon I felt sleepy at night...this lead to me getting trapped in a loop. Tired but cant sleep and if I feel sleepy I started getting palpitations in my heart as if I will die or something. Consulting my uncle who is M.D Medicine in another city...I was advised MD. Psychiatry to handle this drug abuse case. Came across Dr. Lavatre on Practo website.

Dr. Lavatre aka Dr. Calm :-) is not a talk it out, make you feel better doctor. But rather a help yourself find your away out yourself doctor. He talks less but the keywords/suggestions he used/gave i paid absolute attention too and religiously followed. He highlighted the problem area out of all issues I had addressed with him. Personally before that, I never thought that what he pointed out was the underlining stress causing issue. But later I realized he was right.

A doctor who encouraged my efforts to taper down his medication and rely on myself to handle my withdrawal symptoms. Yes, had he to give me medication which too had withdrawal symptoms but it helped me buy sometime to straighten out my lifestyle, do plenty of soul searching, and start a healthy living. Honestly from very 1st day, I had decided to taper meds he gave me as and when possible.(Looking back, I can say this made whole lot of difference) It took me a month of struggle to completely stop meds and come at a point where I could get sleep by myself but not sure how much. Some nights were good 6hr sleep, some were less sleep and in between once a while 1 night of no sleep. It took another several weeks to get back to normalization with my sleep issue but I never ever turned back to meds(thought I kept it in vicinity for few months and forgot them later). One day I just cleared all old medicines....like old antibiotics from some old prescription that you no more need. Caution: Before that, I made sure that i mastered other techniques to handle any stress if it arises.

Today story, I sleep easy, exercise regularly, took a big career move 6 months back and satisfied, traveling once in a while, enjoying life, enjoying with my partner and family, meditating, enjoying spirituality and feeling much more energized than I used too 3-4 years back. I am sure he may not recognize me after reading this post as he must have helped so many patients in past one year. But I would always be grateful for everything he did.

Confession: Also come across Dr. Lavatre once in a while at Joggers Park but continue with my running as I dont want to disturb his walk and my workout. But will sure say "Hi!" next time I see him :D

I am Samrat Joardar wife of Supriya Joardar visiting Dr. Paras Lavatre since November. Today I am very happy because my wife is completely fine. Thanks so much to the doctor. Yes, he explained why this problem happened and the preventive measures. He has judge the symptoms which I informed and understood the disease. This disease happed to her before and I did visit two other clinic but they couldn't find the problem. Dr. Lavatre was able to understand and able to cure this timely.

The doctor listens to your condition very patiently and is very friendly.

He has so much experience that he understands many problems without even you having to say.

Doesn't force to rely on medicines and emphasises on developing inner strength.

Very helpful.

Although doc gave good medicine, but it was tough meeting him as he does not come on a fixed and confirmed appointment.

He also insists us to take medicine from a designated pharmacy.

He insists on visiting every month which I think is crap, as my mom was on maintenance medicine which he could ask to visit quaterly. I think visit every month makes no sense and its a waste of time.

I have been visiting Dr. Lavatre for the last 1.5 years. He is very good and the medicines he prescribed were very effective. My mother is much better after taking his medicines. He also spends significant amount of time with patients explaining and answering queries.

It was a great to meet such an experienced guy. Listned to my issues completely heard all my problems and consoled like a gaurdian I am a bachelor in this town but still feel affter meeting him that I am better in most cases. He is a great person gave me his personal number in case i needed some any more help at any time. FOr the problem I was suffering he acted as a God for me.

Very Experienced Doctor! You can trust this doctor! I am almost out from all the problems i had.** *** ********** ***** ******* ******** **** *******If you are unknowingly got drugged you can share your problem with him.
