Dr. Himesh Gandhi

Dr. Gandhi treated my father (73 years) for stage 2 /3 Urinary bladder cancer. He treated him with Robotic assisted Radical Cystectomy (RARC) surgery in the month of January 2022.

We all were shocked when my father was detected with this and very hard to believe. We initially thought of getting him treated at Mumbai but then very fortunately we got a reference of Dr. Gandhi. We met him to discuss my father's case. He is a very young doctor but in his case it was absolutely proved age has got nothing to do with expertise to deal with complex problems like my father had. He was very calm, patient and confident while explaining us health problems of my father, in a very laymen terms, and relevant treatment. He gave us more than enough time listening all our doubts / concerns and questions. I never found him getting agitated or irritated with our questions.

But just such a big operation (RC), we decided to take couple of more opinions with other very senior doctors but ultimately the same outcome. In that process we lost few weeks. My mama is a very renowned ortho surgeon in Pune and him checking on potential solution / right treatment also led to what Dr. Gandhi always suggested. Finally Dr. Gandhi performed a surgery in presence of my mama, and it went very very well. My mama also said that Dr. Gandhi did a great job and he was very very smooth while performing this complex surgery through robotic process.

Most importantly, during post Surgery treatment / complications, he was always available and guided us through the entire treatment very well. In my experience he is much better than many experienced doctors, in this field, and very sharp in his diagnosis / treatment.

Earlier to meat Dr Himesh My wife had gone through two sonography followed by x-ray... and previous Dr diagnosed two stones one in kidney 5 mm and other bigger one around 10 mm at junction . We had only option left to go through surgery... we made mind set for surgery. mean time we came to know about Dr Himesh who treated my friend’s wife and her friend without surgery for similar case... we thought to take second opinion from Dr Himesh. Four weeks ago, I was diagnosed by an onco-surgeon to have Renal Cell Carcinoma and the surgeon recommended full removal of my right kidney (Radical Nephrectomy). Luckily I was referred to Dr. Gandhi who on seeing my reports told that he can save my kidney by doing a partial Nephrectomy and also do a clean cut removal of my tumour. He also promised a speedier recovery. He performed robotic surgery on me. The operation was very well done with no post op complications, no need of blood and my recovery is as promised by the Doctor.

All throughout he was always available on phone and Whatsapp for clearing any doubts. He always gave simple and practical advice.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Himesh Gandhi, and I must express my dissatisfaction with the overall experience. From the beginning, the communication was lacking, and I felt rushed during the appointment. The doctor seemed disinterested and didn't take the time to address my concerns adequately.

Big hello to everyone , I was diagonised with Kidney PUJ obstruction and being a local resident of Nagpur I was advised to go through open surgery or Robotic surgery from doctor in Nagpur . Dr Himesh Gandhi is very approachable, patient and has truly positive energy. We first consulted with him in July 2019 for Baba's postrate cancer treatment; different members had all kinds of questions, he answered all of those, time and again.

Actually it was a robotic surgery of the enlarged prostate. I am 90 years of age and had apprehensions but realised soon that I was in safe hands. The doctor surgeon made me feel comfortable with my health issue and gave me the confidence of good recovery. I have recovered well from the surgery. He is a good and caring soul. God bless him.

Doctor was very friendly and open to calls and WhatsApp messaging. He had a good team working with him, who were equally supportive. My robotic laproscopic partial nephrectomy was carried out with a clean cut and the reports were appreciated by other doctors.
