My wife was under the care of Dr Dipti Sohoni from the beginning of her pregnancy.
The operative word being 'care'. There are some specific aspects of this care that I would like to highlight below :-

1. She is extremely well-versed and confident in her science and that inspires confidence in her patients. She always clearly explains all aspects of the physiological issue and gives clear advice regarding solutions. At all times in pregnancy, whenever there was something to be worried about (and Google tells you disastrous possibilities), we knew that Dr Sohoni would give my wife a balanced opinion. In each of the instances (big and small) she guided us so confidently, that by the time of delivery my wife decided not to worry about anything & doctor will know what to do if there is any problem. My wife finally had a Caesarean section delivery & delivered a healthy baby boy.Overall the surgery was clearly very well done.It was she who suggested that we should avoid in person visits to her clinic in light of the COVID-19,unless there was a dire need.
2. She is a cautious doctor and refrains from overmedication and over testing. Her approach towards pregnancy is modern and devoid of trappings. That being said, she encourages you to test and be informed when there is a need. Whenever there was cause for concern she can hand-hold her patient through all potential reasons and solutions.
3. There is a personal element in her care which is extremely rare. e.g. We have never heard of a doctor who messages to find out if her patient has settled into her hospital bed at the designated time. Also in some cases she will be awake till late night hours to ensure that her patients are keeping well by being in touch(over call) with the local resident doctors
4. She has an excellent network of specialists/Surgeons/Oncologist. You name the top doctors in Pune and she knows them in person.
If you want a doctor who speaks the unvarnished truth, explains the science, and can deal with all medical issues confidently and well, go to her.
