His father, Late Elamkulath Krishnan Vaidyar was a Vishachikitsakan and his maternal grandfather Late Chottathodi Krishnan Vaidyar was a Chintamani Vaidyan.
The establishment is 60 years old and under his guidance, his daughter Dr. Mini E K is the current consulting physician. She completed her BAMS degree from Coimbatore Ayurveda College (AVP).
She also has a diploma in yoga (DHYE).
