Dr. Owais Akram Farooqui (PhD)

This review is for the people who are struggling to deal with life and it's everyday challenges. I know Dr. Farooqui from past 5 years. Time to time, various members of my family had taken therapy from Dr. Farooqui for different reasons and ** ***** *** **** ***** ** *** ****** The therapies were taken for post traumatic disorders (PTSD) , post partum depression, anxiety, general depression, isolation, suicidal tendencies etc. You can imagine the variety of phases our life had gone through in those years. But, thankfully, we got success in each kind of therapy given by Dr. Farooqui. I have suggested him to my colleagues who have been immensely benefitted by him.

I want to specify here 'a mantra' which you have to remember if you want optimum benefit from his therapy. It is that you have to just follow his advice 'fully', without giving a second thought. The problem with our generation is that we ask too many questions and try to find logic in everything.

But, logic doesn't work everywhere. Moreover, Dr. Farooqui has more than 25 years of experience in the field and he gives tailor-made suggestions to everyone. So don't think about it just follow it. All the best to your 'happy and healthy self' again 💐💐

I've been taking Mr. Farooqi sessions for 4-5 months now, having OCD problem. I've seen positive changes in me because of his sessions. He has been very kind, generous and warm. Dr. Farooqi listens with utmost sincerity and have been involved in my case whole heartedly. He is a great doctor.

Was suffering from OCD since 15 years and consulted few psychologists.

Dr Farooqui identified the root of my OCD and gradually guided with techniques that assisted me in overcoming my problem to an extent that now its not impacting my day to day tasks.

His way of consultation is totally unique, caring, non judgemental and effective.

Would not recommend. I took more than 10 sessions with Dr Farooqui, and was not satisfied with how the time was spent and the value for my money. The counselling was very limited and generic, and in my opinion, lacked personal touch and understanding of my specific issues. It felt as though my sessions were being dragged on and time was being wasted, and even after 10 sessions I felt as if no progress had been made.

I am a professional at a multinational, having extremely busy schedule. I was having lots of issues because of my high stress levels which lead to anxiety, difficulty in team management and retention of core team members. It further aggravated my problem, leading to sleepless nights.

Normally, we think these are the byproducts of our hectic life schedule and there's no solution for this. "What will a psychologist do in such case".

But, believe me friends, a psychologist can do wonders, by helping you identify your problem areas and helping you work on that. I will say Dr. Farooqui is a 'magician'.

His consultation, advice and relaxation techniques have really helped me and now my team has all the praises for me. It feels so good when you are able the harness the truest potential of your work force. It gives you immense satisfaction. Increments and promotion are just the byproducts.

At day one, I had little bit reservations about the doctor efficacy on my health concerns but he proved me absolutely wrong , he was magnificent in every segment of the clinical psychology. Today I am happier and healthier than before in just 19 days of therapy. A big Thank you, Dr. Owais A. Farooque.

I was happy with the doctor and he was very friendly. However I was not too comfortable with the chamber set up. The room had a partition with another doctor sitting on the other side and I was mostly conscious that my story could be heard by someone else too. Otherwise the doctor was good and friendly and o would recommend him to others if someone is okay with such type of set up.

I highly feel a clinical psychologist should set up a comfortable environment and a room that would make the patient comfortable.
