Dr. Ritupurna Dash

I stay in Bangalore and have been suffering from painful lesions (erythma nodusum) in my right leg since June 2016. I have been to many speciality doctors in different hospitals and almost all of them had told that it is very difficult to diagnose as what we are seeing is a symptom which can occur due to multiple causes and hence they put me on steroids but with no improvement unfortunately. Then I consulted Dr Ritupurna for second opinion(and sent my reports to her online) and in the first talk itself she said that this looks like Scleroderma and not erythema nodosum. She also got my biopsy slides read from separate biopsy specialist; and it got diagnosed as Scleroderma. I was amazed to see the results of biopsy as it was exactly what she had suspected in the first go and I was on wrong treatment for so long. She gave me the confidence that she will make sure that my problem is resolved. No doctor had given me that confidence and it matters a lot when you're clueless about what is happening to you. Though I was consulting her from different city, she always took time out from her schedule and explained everything thoroughly. Her medicines have helped a lot and now movement is lot better. I had an ingrowing toe nail, and as a consequence of growth, the toe also got infected. Subsequently, it also started to pain.

Dr.Dash thoroughly explained the problem I was suffering from in very simple words. She advised me to undergo the surgery to chemically cauterize the nail. She performed the surgery with the least possible invasion and bare minimum pain. I could easily walk after the surgery and resumed my normal routine after 36 hours.

When Dr Dash diagnosed me, she counselled me very patiently and reassuringly. I looked up the internet and came to know that my condition was difficult to diagnose for doctors and the treatment was a bit tricky - one would go down a real messy track if the diagnosis goes wrong! I reside in US and was getting treated there. I came here for a vacation and went to the doctor for a second opinion, which I mentioned during the initial discussion.
