Dr. Mona Dahiya

We, as a couple, visited Dr. Mona Dhaiya after a long series of visits to other doctors for more than 1 year who did a lot of diagnosis and medicine for our Fertility issues (both Fallopian Tubal Blockage). We got no help from other Doctors.

When we met Dr. Mona she was very supportive and really helpful to understand the issues we had. She took the very correct steps for us and we really felt satisfied with her guidance and open-mindedness to explain us in detail about each test we need to undertake and the reasons for doing so.

What was really great was that she never hurried with the treatment and gave us optimum time to think, decide and continue the coming treatment and left the decisions to us.

Some key points we would like to share that would help other patients to decide taking up similar cases like ours, with the doctor:

• Minimum Doctor visits which were decided with the Patient’s ease.

• Doctor gave us optimum time to think, decide and continue.

• Sharing of tests results online with the Doctor and seeing the next steps on calls itself.

• Availability of the Doctor on calls to discuss and clear any point.

• Explanation beforehand of Financial, mental and health preparedness before entering the IVF cycle.

• A lot of moral support to us as a couple and the positivity of the doctor really helped.

At the end, we would like to share the result of our case with all. My wife conceived after the Frozen embryo Transfer cycle and is now pregnant with healthy twins (result from the first ultrasound FOETUSES OF ~ 6 WEEKS on 10th July 2018 ). AND that even when the AMH test result was just ~0.6 (too low ovarian reserve), with the right guidance from her and right level of hormonal treatment from her, we could conceive with our OWN eggs.

We are really thankful to Dr. Mona and to God for getting us to the right doctor after all .

What I liked about Dr. Mona was that she was non judgemental and presented her consultative opinion in a very balanced manner. I consulted Dr. Mona Dahiya after seeing the positive reviews online. I started treatment in Jan 2023 in Max hospital, sec-19 Noida, wherein she suggested me to go for 2 IUI cycles, and if it's unsuccessful, to then go for IVF. Since my husband had to travel for work, he wasn't in town in both the upcoming iui cycles. After having detailed discussion with with Dr. Mona, she suggested us to freeze the semen sample for 2 months for iui process. My husband went twice to Milan Fertility centre in GK (where iui process would take place) to submit his sample. Plan for 2 IUI cycle was informed to the Milan facility as well, I even asked Dr. Mona would the sample be sufficient for both the IUI cycles and she said "yes". After First cycle of IUI was unsuccessful in Jan, the next IUI cycle was planned for Feb. For Feb cycle, I consulted her 3-4 times, took meds, even took trigger injection. Just 12hrs before the procedure at 8pm before night, I got the call from Milan Fertility centre that both the sample given by my husband were used in the 1st iui cycle in January. I was totally stunned that how casually they just didn't even bother to inform me earlier. I paid 1200 every time for consultation, 5000 for one month extra for semen freezing (while there is no sample left to freeze), additional money wasted on meds and injection too. I didn't get the call from Dr. Mona or her assistant about this information. In total we wasted 13000-14000.

Now, this mishap could be easily avoided if Dr. Mona and her assistant did their due diligence and kept proper coordination with the Milan Fertility centre.

She always seemed in hurry whenever I consulted her. Never explained the procedure properly. Infact she asked me to have some hormone tests, I got that done, she was in so much hurry that she even forgot to see those test results.

Keeping accurate and timely records of patients is of vital importance in fertility cases with IUI and IVF procedures. But this was missing in our case.

The samples, test reports should be properly filed. But surprisingly Dr dahiya and her team didn't keep our records updated. It was one of the most harrowing experience for us considering that we didn't even get a proper explanation or apology from the doctor and her team .

After having 5 failed IUI and 4 failed transfers in Canada, we decided to consult doctors in Delhi. We talked to few IVF specialists and found Dr Mona Dhaiya to be really knowledgeable.

She was very cautious in treating me and found a number of issues(which were missed by other doctor).

We are blessed with twin pregnancy in the first transfer all thanks to her.
