There are many magic drugs available which reduce the symptoms quickly but associated with significant side effects, may be short term, or long term.

As qualified and responsible doctors doing ethical practice, the onus lies on us not to go for such drugs as a first line of treatment. We prefer to choose a slower but sure path with relatively lesser side effects.

As the proverbial bamboo shoot doesn't appear to grow initially but later shows development, so also, sometimes treatment may appear ineffective initially and a change of doctor may coincide with the original healing process. This cannot be ruled out and has to be taken into consideration. In view of your glasses prescription, the same power can be looked at in different angles which the ophthalmologist has the liberty to transpose. It was given for comfort in the long run. You have given me food for thought and will definitely take into consideration after carefully weighing the pros and cons.
