In July 2019, an unfortunate event triggered an abnormal change in me which I, rather my mind just couldn't stop controlling! My thought process had become all negative and would constantly worry about unnecessary things. I even suffered from obsessive thoughts.

So, I visited Dr. Vikas Deshmukh. He heard me calmly and patiently and told me what I was suffering from i.e Anxiety and OCD. He even made my dad realise that I need support and help. So I went on with the medicines with regular follow ups!

I can be as honest as possible, I felt better within 2 months of medications. Within 6 months I was back on track. Currently I am visiting him for regular follow ups and getting better day by day.

Dr. Vikas Deshmukh made me realise that having any kind of mental illness is completely a normal thing. The only solution is acceptance! Accepting that nothing is more important than your mental health! People are always out there to help you , you just need to speak up! More and more people should talk openly about it. If you had a constant stomach pain, wouldn't you go to the doctor? Its that simple. The taboo on subjects of mental health should not stop you from accessing appropriate care and medication. Mental health afflictions are just like any other ailment (like diabetes or heart disease) and getting timely treatment is extremely important!

A little of her background- She always used to be skeptical about people around, believing them to be evil, she always had negative thoughts that they will harm her and our family, thus was mostly sad and rarely happy. She used to doubt my Dad a lot and there used to be lots of arguments between them or even worse not talking to each other for months.

But after her treatment with Dr. Vikas Sir for a year or so, things are so much better now, she never doubts Dad or any one else for that matter so no more arguments anymore. She is much more positive person then ever and is always happy.
