I suddenly had unbearable pain from my hip to the toes (Sciatica) which happened suddenly when I woke up one day. On 24th March 2019.. I was rushed to Aditi Hospital in Mulund West where I was put on tractions for a week ,but no relief was available..Post these checkups the MRI was taken and Dr Phatak advised Spine surgery.

The hospital had one of the best of Spine Surgeons { Dr.Kapil Mohan } who explained the situation, a L5-S1 issue with ruptures of the disc.which had oozed out hitting the spinal nerves. Doctor advised

Minimum invasive Micro disecktomy surgery.

Post surgery I was normal in a couple of days time, I took rest for

8 weeks and with regular physio therapic excercises recommended

was back to square one.

Today its almost 3 years and I am absolutely normal..I do my physio therapy excercises and the plank excercise and follow the BLC (bend lift carry) rules advised.

Until now I associated the word Surgery with Misery. After being under the careful watch of a doctor like him

, I associate Surgery with Recovery. Thanks a ton ..** ***** **** ** ************* ****** *** he's also a great human being. The way he cared for me and was so concerned about me,I don't think any surgeon cares so much. The day I met him I made him do a pinky promise that he have to make me walk and after few months I did walk.. I can't thanks him enough because though he understood my medical condition ,he also took in notice that my family wAs suffering from financial crisis too,as I had many surgeries before,thus he helped me in every way possible.he discarded his visiting charges..took minimum fees as the protocol of hospital.he's the only surgeon who puts his patients health before the bills. He takes cares even of the minute details during the treatment. The level of his dedication cannot be described and no matter how much I say ..words cannot describe how great this person is . He explained me every detail about what my problem is ,what the operation is gonna be like , every little thing. He's good listener,polite,generous,caring,passionate and and an amazing HUMAN BEING . No words can ever describe this surgeon no matter how much I write. Dr Kapil was very polite and patient with my family. We had gone to consult him for my mom's backache prior to her scheduled knee replacement surgery. He allayed all the anxiety that my mom had regarding her knee n back.

He clearly told what would be the criteria for her spine surgery n explained why is it not required as of now.

As it was my first visit. So as of now can only comment on his knowledge.explanation. and way of talking. All qualites outstanding. Once treatment moves ahead can comment about rreatment.

Doctor arrived late by 45 minutes. He is a highly experienced and friendly in nature. since this is my first visit can't write anything more. He tendered his apologies for the late coming..very professional!
