Consulted Dr. Ravindra Nikalji (Nephrologist/Renal Specialist) for Chronic Kidney Disease ( CKD )

It was 29th December 2017 and we along with the whole world were waiting for the New Year to begin in 2 days. There was excitement in the air and suddenly my Mom in Law Mrs Surekha Kadam (71 years) staying in a remote village started complaining about severe headache. Me and her son, rushed her to a Hospital in Panvel. She was treated in ICU for at least 5 days but her BP didn’t fall below 220. We were waiting for the Nephrologists (stranger for us) who visited this hospital on Fridays as mentioned by the doctor there.
And then came the day when we met this ‘Life Saver”. At first sight- He looked over her reports and very confidently said- She requires dialysis as she is a CKD patient. We, the family members disagreed cause the patient never had any such symptoms earlier; but later accepted. He advised shifting her to Apollo in Navi Mumbai IF we wanted HIM to treat her. Genuinely he also gave us the option of other hospitals cause we were hesitant for Apollo due to distance and cost. But as said” Face is like a mirror” his confidence won over our dilemma and we shifted her to Apollo immediately.
Under Dr. Ravindra Nikaji’s treatment, my mom in law (Mrs Surekha Kadam) underwent the dialysis for the first time and recovered her BP levels and was discharged within 3 days. Over the time, my mom in law (being rigid) was unwilling to continue with the dialysis. She had also been hospitalized in emergency twice under unavoidable circumstances at 2.30 a.m, but due to his prompt response (Whatapp) he saved her . Further with the moral support, patience and kind counseling by Dr Nikalji, she is now surviving happily with the required dialysis twice a week.
Dr. Ravindra Nikalji, as the name itself says-He is that “Sun” who spreads his light of knowledge and confidence in the world and Indra who showers his patience, kindness, understanding and moral support to his patients and their family which makes him a good human .
Soon, it’s gonna be Dec 2019 now and I can see my mom in law turned 73 now) happily undergoing dialysis and also having her short trips of pilgrimage and attending weddings and meeting relatives often. ’She has got back her life” due to confident Dr Nikalji who believes “ Failure is Impossible”. We are grateful and fortunate to have found this God sent amazing Global Personality. He is in our prayers. I believe- Any Kidney problems- ONLY DR. RAVINDRA NIKALJI”@ Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai.
Consulted Dr. Bindhu K S (Gynecologist)
I had an extremely comfortable pregnancy, delivery and recovery with Dr Bindu. She is very calm and composed and helps you to be too. She was very clear and firm on having all the parameters in range from the beginning. In my case she chose to induce and have the delivery post 38 weeks as the baby was already heavy. And she had enough patience to wait all day to bring my 3.9kg baby out with a normal delivery procedure. She also has a very supportive team under her that comforts and attends to you in her little absence. I think she has high competency to handle all complications like gestational diabetes, thyroid, pcod, preeclampsia etc. And I would HIGHLY recommend her for your pregnancy and delivery.
Consulted Dr. Charita Pradhan (General Surgeon)
The problem was not with the doctor but with the hospital. We were made to wait for 1 1/2 hour for the registration and payment of the doctor's fees (which can be done on-line, but there is no facility there) . There is absolutely no social distancing in that hospital. Absolutely bad experience at the hospital.
To top it up we received a call from from the hospital to schedule an appointment for tomorrow morning 11 a. M. , when a test will be done tomorrow at 3.30p.m. and the report will be given only after 24 hrs.
