1. Which food items should I avoid if I have itching?
Food, in general, does not cause skin itching unless one is suffering from a particular food allergy, pollen allergy or histamine intolerance. The most common foods which can trigger itching in most people include milk, wheat, fish, soy, peanuts, eggs, clams, and tree nuts, etc. Other foods which can cause itching include tomatoes, strawberries, melon, pineapple, and food additives, etc.
2. Are there any home remedies for itching?
Home remedies which can help reduce itching include applying moisturizer, taking a lukewarm water bath, applying ice to the affected area, applying anti-itching creams like hydrocortisone cream, using mild soaps and detergents, avoiding skin-irritating substances like jewellery, wool, etc.
3. Is itching a serious condition?
