Having been on the heavier side for the most part of my life, I was never concerned about my weight or body structure.

I was rapidly gaining weight, almost a kilo each month, having been diagnosed with Adenomyosis and Endometriosis. I was put on Hormone Therapy Treatment and had entered my 40s – all around the same time that added to slower metabolism. Losing weight appeared like a seemingly impossible task.

Loosing weight and getting fit had been my priority for a long time but I have been struggling for a very long time to achieve my desired goal. I tried a lot of fad diets and supplements to loose weight. Whatever weight I lost doing the same usually returned back as soon as I stopped following the same. But from the time I got in touch with Dr Kamna Bhandari, I could loose weight gradually and sustainably. I am atleast 15 kgs lighter now, started with 71 and I’m down to 55.5kgs at present. I feel lighter and more energetic. My sleep has improved and the aches and pains I used to have previously has vanished. I used to suffer a lot from indigestion earlier. Now I don’t have any such issues. A very important point to noted is that, the entire consultation took place over the phone since I live abroad.But the most commendable achievement is that I love the new me and I feel fabulous. Weight loss has been life altering for me for the better. I am very proud of my achievement and thank Dr Kamna for her continued support. I’m really grateful.

My observation and experience with many Nutrionists have been that patients must (as a standardised practice) eat small multiple meals a day, and there also has been a lack of general awareness of different dietary practices including Intermittent Fasting, Ketogenic diets etc. My experience with Kamna has been exactly the opposite. She, first and foremost, keeps the patient's needs and barriers in mind when recommending a meal plan. She appreciates that nutrition and dieting can be expensive and hence, has always focused on simplicity when prescribing food and eating schedules. It is not mandatory for her to suggest that one should eat many small meals, but that one should do the best we can simply and consistently. She understands and is aware different aspects of nutrition as a subject and also of what each patient can or can't do, and has been providing her guidance and support accordingly. Having spent time with her for many months, there has been a change in my overall health, and mainly gut health. She provides simple, practical, cheerful support to her patients including warmth, and that along with the expert advice has helped me tremendously.
