Hello everyone, I am Capt. Shreerang Pethe, an airline pilot with a leading airline in India. At the beginning I had this tingling sensation in my last 3 to 4 fingers of my hand and my toes. My back was getting stiffer as days progressed and had difficulty bending backwards and could hardly turn to see over my right shoulder. Until one day I had shooting, terrible and unbearable pain in my right calf which put me off my daily chores. MRI scan revealed that I have posterior and right paracentral herniation of L5-S1 disc with sequestration and inferior migration (i.e. slip disc). I did see the best available Spine surgeons in Mumbai then, who advised me to do the surgery, not urgently but eventually in the coming days. Instead I ended up starting my physiotherapy to see how it can help me before heading straight to surgery. This is the time Dr. Firdaus Shaikh (now my physiotherapist) came to my rescue. During our first therapy session I took my MRI reports to show it to her, but instead of first glancing at it, she made me do some bending and twisting exercises initially to see my back posture and also to note down my twisting and bending limitations. And at the end of it she wrote down something on a piece of paper which exactly matched with what was mentioned in my MRI. Till this point I was not ready to believe that physiotherapy can help me in my case. Of all the impressive skills of Dr. Firdaus Shaikh this unique approach style *** *** ***** ** ***** ********* ** *** ******* *** indeed good enough for me to handover my slip disc case to her and thereafter all I did till date, was just to follow the instructions she gave me...During my therapy sessions with Dr. Firdaus she made me do planks, bridges, hamstring raises, superman, leg raises to name a few..I was stunned to see my graph rise on a daily basis and at the end of my last session I was amazed to see the sharp improvement in my bending and twisting limitations compared to the ones noted during my first session and ofcourse the tingling sensation and pain was all gone..

The one thing Dr. Firdaus Shaikh clearly told me on my last session is that all these exercises were meant to strengthen the core stability and now onwards if I need to stay in this shape then I got to keep doing these exercises as part of my weekly routine...So here I am, still meticulously following what Dr. Firdaus Shaikh told me a few months back, to maintain my core srability and ofcourse apparantly no requirement to do surgery anymore..******** **** ********* ****** *** ******* **** *** ** **** ** her work place is the unique ability of Dr. Firdaus Shaikh. This is my review for her as a thorough and professional physiotherapist.

I am eternally grateful to Dr Firdaus Shaikh for treating my Chondromalacia Patellae Syndrome. She constantly guided my training and made me aware of the effects of my posture with regards to the knee..

Earlier, I used to experience pain each time I ran, climbed steps and squatted. Now, I can honestly say I haven't felt pain since I have been a part of her care..

Recently I went for trekking & did many activities and that’s where I felt the change in my knee and the best part is I couldn't feel any strain or pain. Her advice and guidance helped me think through my situation. I really appreciate her constant advice and encouragement.

She is very detailed in her examination and thorough in explanation of the treatment required.

After 4 - 5 sessions, more than 70 to 80% of my knee had subsided..

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR FIRDAUS SHAIKH.

I was diagnosed with "FROZEN SHOULDER" in my Left arm & Shoulder. I liked the way Dr Fridaus has worked out my rehabilitation, treatment and recovery program with my history of Lumber spine problem. I cannot commend her enough for bringing me out of the all excruciating pain in the shoulder & left arm, where my mobility was very restricted and could barely sleep for 20 to 30 minutes in the night because of the excruciating pain. She has used all her vast experience, various techniques *** *** **** ********* ** treat me and to bring to where I am today. She is a very compassionate In her treatment. She is a very professional in her work and a friendly enough to make me feel at ease in all my pain.

My age is 24 years and I was suffering from a serious back injury since 2 years. I visited a couple of physios in Mumbai but none of them worked for my back. I had troubles with sleeping, doing activities like tennis, gym and swimming and it had an adverse effect on my lifestyle. After hearing about the aqua therapy I enrolled myself and was treated under Dr. Firdaus.

Aqua and land sessions really helped me build my core strength and back muscles and I gained stability too.

Now, my lifestyle is almost back to normal and I have started playing tennis and doing yoga.

This is Mayank Champaneri in 2018 I suffered a very serious car accident and that led to several major injuries in my back, the mobility of my back was not good and it used to pain frequently and also my bad sitting posture added more to that.I always wanted to get rid of this pain because this restricted my daily activities. Later on Dr Amit suggested me to join the online exercise sessions arranged by Aquacentric.It was an amazing experience while working out with one of the Doctors(Dr Firdaus) from Aquacentric, the exercise sessions conducted by the Dr Firdaus was interesting and always motivating you, the explanation of exercises was brilliant, also a tele rehab was conducted by Dr Firdaus that helped me out, overall it was a fabulous experience .👍🏻

I loved the way dr shaikh guided me through my exercises and over time helped me overcome quite a few of my issues. She was very well spoken yet articulate in her words and very understanding and helpfull with my limitations. I've improved tremendously under her treatment. Someone who I would highly recommend.

I recommend her 10/10. Dr Firdos helped me regain and strengthen my balance and stability in less than 2 months. She not only created and implemented the right treatment plan( multiple previous physiotherapists were unable to do so), but also managed to push me to get better sooner than i expected. She was professional and friendly enough to make me feel at ease too.

I have slipped disc problems since 20 years. My right leg had become very weak because of it. I started aquatic therapy a few months ago which gave me confidence that I can do those exercises on land too. I recently started land exercise sessions. Thanks to Dr Firdos Shaikh's efforts, I can sit on my knees after 20 years. I am also able to walk at least 8 to 10 minutes on the treadmill as well, which I had stopped 7 years ago!

I was recommended to try Hydrotherapy at AquaCentric by the renowned Dr. Anant Joshi (Sportsmed) as I was having difficulty in climbing stairs and had a waddle following a hip replacement in 2006.

My experience at the Aqua Centric was very good and recovered in a short span of 15 sessions over a period of two months.

I found the general atmosphere and hygiene to be very good.

Dr. Firdos Shaikh has understood my problem of lumbar slip disc very well and given me an appropriate treatment.

I could feel relaxation and comfort in moving my muscles only after a week of starting the exercises. Now I feel positive while doing my daily routines and its still progressing!!

I also feel that these exercises which I have practiced in all the 4 sessions are beneficial for me and will help me in the interim and longer term.
