Dr. Rajiv Anand

After extensive suffering and searching therapist I could find the right one in Dr Rajiv Anand whose understanding and soothing words healed me in matter of few weeks.God bless this rare doctor.

We delayed seeking professional help for 15 years for issues causing trouble in our married life, And now after meeting Dr Rajiv Anand we realise how many years we wasted. Wish we found him earlier, his experience and understanding of the human emotions.,be it a man or women is exceptional and extra ordinary, not only is he a through professional he genuinely wants is to help people heal inside out.I highly recommend him to any and everyone who wishes to lead a life of happiness bliss and harmony within themselves and in their relationship’s.

After seeing 5 Psychiatrists, I met Dr. Anand and in the very first session noticed his treatment approach is completely different to the previous ones. He gives a good ear, understands his patients well and his diaognosis is on point. Unlike others, without going over your symptoms again and again, he just picks up all the underlying issues and the diaognosis is on point. His detailed explanation in simple terms makes one feel better itself in each session. His Psychotherapy is as if you are telling yourself the issues you have and also the solution to all the problems at root cause. He randomly just doesn't prescribe a whole lot of medicines without getting to the root cause of the problem. His clinic has a calm and soothing set up. After 11 years of major depression, for the first time in just 10 days I feel a positive change overall in me. He gives a minimum of 30 mins to each patient and is in no hurry. Overall his treatment is holistic and has a positive impact after each session. I would definitely recommend him for all mental health issues and his assurance to cure is a very positive energy for the mind and body. Unlike others, you don't leave his clinic with a long list of medicines just prescribed based on your symptoms but with a lease of fresh positive energy and look forward to the next session. His years of experience and treatment approach is felt in the very first meeting. I thank Dr. Anand and wish all his patients the very best and keep the trust in him for total cure which will soon for everyone .

Not friendly. If going for any mental or brain related issues, you will expect that you are explained everything clearly but rather he was rude and not welcoming

I have visited a few different professionals over the past few months, but none came even close to matching the insight Dr. Anand provided me in a single session, and this is not even an exaggeration. I have so far had 3 sessions, and can see a visible difference in myself. I fully intend to pursue my goals with his guidance, and want to share the wonderful experience that made me decide this, below:

I really appreciate how heard I felt, there was no rushing me or questioning me. I didn't feel judged, I could share what was on my mind without interrupting the flow. That itself helped a lot, because I'd not been able to do that before.

What Dr. Rajiv said about throwing away labels and stop presenting as a patient, really stood out to me. I paraphrase here some of what he said that has impressed itself upon my mind - that we are all learning, we just need to develop emotional stability, and to grow, to learn to break the patterns we unconsciously fall into. Once we develop the skills to handle our thoughts and emotions, it's something that will stay with us for life and always help. This is what counselling helps with, and adding personal effort and medicines makes a trifecta that will ensure we are in charge of our thoughts, emotions, feelings, and present.

This perspective was something new I'd never heard before, and I feel like the scales fell from my eyes. I found this such an invaluable lesson. I immediately felt more confident and hopeful, motivated even. Each session has brought with it further invaluable understanding which I have assimilated into my core values.

I now feel like I can look to the future, while living in the present, and carrying the past in my heart without dwelling on it. I look forward to our future sessions. And if anyone is in doubt about approaching Dr. Anand, take it from me, do not hesitate and just go for it. You'll find it to be one of the best decisions you could take for your own well being.

I didn't find Dr Rajiv Anand's psychiatry consultation suitable to my problems (Anxiety & Depression & Anger Control).

I felt during all my visits, that he was not serious in solving my problems, due to below reasons,

1) I visited him at Vivana Polyclinic Andheri West form Jan 2017 to March 2017, and every time during the appointment he used to give me only five minutes to hear about my serious mind problems, and after five minutes was given to hear some audio or read a paper.

2) Also i was called twice to thrice times in a week.i think such near appointments does not help the patient to share the changes in his health.

Initially i thought the above may be required to control my health issues, but in every appointment the same routine of giving 5 minutes was followed and I was not given complete time to share my experiences.

3) I reacted badly with the medicines prescribed by him, since i was not able to concentrate in my daily work, also once i slipped from staircase from 3rd to 2nd level.

But in spite of the above, i was not given alternative solution other than medicines.

4) He is busy with his phone ,either chatting or sometimes on call during the appointment. The Doctor is too busy and overcrowded with patients

5) I visited him alone most of the times, but once I also requested him that my parents want to come with me, he told that i will have to take separate appointment if my parents wants to talk to the Dr. about my health

6) I remember during my first visit, i told about my mind issues, he heard for five minutes and later he advised not to talk much for the next one month, so i followed his advice in good faith. But i regretted, that i should have spoken up my mind, in every visit.

7) I didn't find any reduction in my anger/anxiety/depression feelings, and faced bad time.

In spite of the above shortcomings,I choose to give time to his consultation and visited the doctor during above all three months.

I also visited his Saturday sessions. Where Generalized lessons of Life is given to group of patients. But it didn't work for me, since i needed solution to my nature of problems and not generalized solutions.

Tip:

Not recommended,

but patients should always ask all their questions to any doctor he visits and

also ask him to listen to all their past experiences and advice accordingly in all their visits.

For long I was misdiagnosed with serious mental illness as no Dr tried to listen and understand me deeply and compassionately, as I got first time experience and realised what a good Doctor can be.

He depends least on medicines... More on guiding a client.

Update after 3 weeks -

First visit fees 2000 and thereafter 1500 every week. Totally i paid 6500 plus medicines expenses *** ********** *** * ******* ** ******* ***** **** ** **** ** **** **** ******** ***** **** ***** *** ********** **** *** ******** He kept on telling me everytime that medicines will not cure my condition. After 3 weeks I am as bad if not worse as before. I asked him to prescribe me some painkiller as I couldn't handle the overal chronic body ache ***** ** ****** **** **** ** *** **** ***** ************ ***** ***** ******* ** ******** ** ******* However the painkiller he prescribed later was atrociously a wastage of money *** *** *** *** ***** *** ******** Then after 3 weeks I told him please change or add or improve the medication ***** **** ** **** **** *** ** *** *** *******. *** ** **** ** ***** ***** ** ********** **** ** **** ***** ******** ******

I patiently endured all this for 3 weeks thinking there will relief *** * ***** ** ** ******* ** ********* ** ****** ** ***** ** ********* and I at vain expense of 6500.

I humbly request the Doctor to refund my money ** * ** *** **** **** *** and can use it for treatment elsewhere *** **** ** ****** *** ******* *** ********* *** ****** **** *** *** *** ****** ** *****

I Ms Rupali would like to share my experiences dealing with a long gripped mental illness & an influential journey with my psychiatrist cum mentor Dr Rajiv Anand Sir.The year 2020 dawned with a global crisis & on my personal front facing a lot of challenges with my mother bedridden suffering from rheumatoid arthritis & my child's tenth board ,juggling between office duties and household chores the trauma took over me and finally I broke down by the first half of 2021.I was under treatment but it had made me lethargic and loss of energy and confidence.Through a family friend ,we approached Rajiv Sir & behold! My life took a radical move upwards .He not only treated me with a minimal dosage but has also tapped my potential and helped me grow spiritually as well as emotionally a more balanced person.His sessions give me the strength to face the sunny and rainy days and view life with a positive approach.I look forward to his sessions for his patient ears.
