Barkha Patel is a Consultant Psychologist who holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and Advanced level in REBT, Albert Ellis Institute, New York. I’ve been taking psychotherapy from Dr. Barkha since last 3 months. I’m very happy with the progress. The part I like the most is that she is accessible at all times and prompt in replying. This is very different from other psychologists who have assistants and not easily accessible. She keeps detailed track of my case and responds in way that is easy to understand and comforting, without any bias. I feel fortunate and grateful to get the best support, when I needed it the most. For my anxiety, the psychiatrist had asked me to take medication, but I was skeptical. I requested Dr. Barkha to start the therapy without the meds and she was very supportive in my decision. In my case, I’m happy to say that my anxiety and overthinking has reduced drastically and I can notice significant improvement.
Every case is unique, and I’m not writing this to discourage anyone from taking meds.. its always best to discuss what works best for you with your doctor.

Dr. Barkha helped me understand my thoughts and feelings, she was patient with me while she heard me out. She is approachable and compassionate.
