She has volunteered at various hospitals for POCL Medical solutions.
She has volunteered in both departments of prosthetics and orthotics that includes:
Upper extremity orthoses for spinal bracing, cranial orthoses, fracture bracing, hand splinting (for spasticity, mobilization, and rheumatoid arthritis).
Lower extremity orthoses include for poliomyelitis, paraplegics (Reciprocating Gait Orthoses-RGO), MMC. MMD etc.
With new trends and years passing by, a prosthetic and orthotic now works upon " diabetic foot care management (e.g. Foot scanning’s and customized insole designing, with cad cam shoes, customized insoles etc.), burns management, keloid’s (the hypertrophic scars), mobility aids needed for ambulation and rehabilitation, 3d printing technology, cosmetic restoration and many more.
Prosthetics enhance the quality life of amputees for both upper extremity and lower extremity. And hence we try to enhance the life by providing all designs from Indian technology to the hi-tech.
