Visited Dr. Rakesh Badhe (Surgical Oncologist)
"Fate brings people together. No matter how far they are." This couldn't be any truer with the way we met Dr. Badhe...and life's changed for all of us since then. Dr. Rakesh Badhe hasn't just saved my father's life but also saved our family.
I still remember meeting him for the very first time. He'd returned from a very long and exhausting surgery and had only few minutes before the next. That interval of 10 minutes changed everything for us.
Still in his surgical wear, cap and all, he heard our case with utmost patience. He didn't jump to conclusion (unlike a surgeon we'd met before him who was ruthless and brutal in recommending an amputation I fear I cannot write here.)
Doctor Badhe prescribed a step-by-step thorough diagnosis before he could arrive at a decision. And that changed everything; from 2018 until this day.
Even in those tiny intervals during pappa's surgery, doctor kept me informed about all the happenings in OT. Wonder if other surgeons of this repute would do that! He had been very clear from the beginning that he would have to make tough decisions if situation arose, but by God's grace and doctor's phenomenal skills, that awful moment didn't arrive.
He's operated twice on pappa. And I must say, he isn't just a super talented surgeon, but an artist wielding scalpels and scissors. He is a magician, a wizard, an angel who did what only they could. He's a hardened surgeon with an extremely calm demeanor and a warmest heart. He's always met us with a smile, spent ample time reviewing his patient and sent us hopeful and more positive than we entered his cabin. Not just that, he's been an incredible support whenever I've reached out to him.
Post-surgical care and followup has always been a cakewalk. Doctor has a clinic in Kurla - Hope Oncology Clinic. We've never had to wait before being attended to. Rohit Jaiswal, doctor's incredibly capable, ************** kind and helpful assistant makes sure of it. Rohit has been available on call or texts, no matter what time of the day it is. It's he who helped us out with all the admission formalities, making doctor's appointments, and also appointments for PET Scan and all else, even when he was miles away in his native place.
He's a great support system to all of doctor's patients.
We all believe, doctors are a manifestation of God. They truly are. So is Dr. Rakesh Badhe to me; to us. We didn't realize when he went from being a surgeon to a being a family. Life wouldn't be the same without him.
You truly are a superhero without a cape, doctor!
Visited Dr. Hemali Trivedi Gupta (Urologist)
I would suggest not to only go by reviews as positive this days are made upon and paid upon too. Sharing you my personal experience with her, she convince my mother for open surgery when only PCLN could have done the job @ kohinoor hospital kurla. Even after open surgery she would make excuses of pus detection and let you go through endless other expensive procedures. Earlier i had believed her justification but after hearing the same to same, word by word defence towards my other known patient to her* * ** *** **** ******** *** ** *** * ****** *** ****** ***** **** *** ****** ** ******* ******* *** ********

Visited Dr. Vishwanathan Iyer (Neurosurgeon)
Dr. Vishwanathan Iyer is one genuine experienced gentleman.
He is extremely approachable.
Explained to me my medical condition nicely and also prescribed that a surgery wont be necessary.
Referred me further to the right Endocrinologist to handle my case as the surgery was out of question and he didn't have any further role to play.
Thus making him a great doctor who does not feed on money of patients but guides them really well.
Thanks heaps Doctor.
Fortunate to have such genuine doctor around.

Anyways He started by saying that a angioplasty will be performed by dr shinde himself followed by a by pass surgery that will be performed by dr amjad (the one who had referred to him). We were taken aback as to why two different doctors are required one for the cabg and another for angioplasty.
Then when we asked is it very urgent - initially he said no. But later towards end of the conversation he suggested not to take my father home rather keep him in the hospital, as it very risky to take patients like him home and also suggested that the angioplasty be performed a week later.. This was the first time i became wary of his intentions..upon further inquiry he did not show us any of the artery blockages on the screen except for the 90% blocked subclavian artery. He just randomly drew some sketch pen images on a paper and kept showing us the blockages.. As me and my wife came out of the hospital to discuss things and were standing infront of a tea stall, mr shinde , came smiling towards us (coaxing us even further to keep him in the hospital for a week and then perform the two surgeries by him and dr amjad..
