Dr. Vedant H Karvir

To begin with, I got to know about Dr. Karvir through google search while I was looking for doctor for stomach related problems. I read both good and bad comments but decided to consult him for my mother. The first thing that I was impressed with was that he responds to the negative reviews. This is very uncommon because not everyone bothers.

Coming to the main point on the diagnosis, my mother (64 years old) has been suffering from stomach related issue since years now and was on liquid diet for almost 2 months before we consulted Dr. Karvir. His diagnosis was perfect. Just after our first visit and starting his medications, my mom was able to consume 'food'. Some medicines did not suit her, but Dr. Karvir was always available, either directly or though the RMO's. [This is what i tried - google search for the medical composition of medicines consumed by my mom to see if any component is not suitable to her based on her past history plus speak to family doctor as they would know patients history better. Some medicines cause reaction for some and may not for all. You can highlight this to the doctor you are consulting and he may be able to guide better.].

2nd important thing. we have consulted almost dozens of doctor for my moms stomach related issues, both in Mumbai and in Gujarat, but none have a dietician in their clinic (the diet consulting is free). Diet to my mind is a very important aspect especially when the problem is digestion/stomach related. Dietician too is very patient and explains things elaborately. My mom is still under treatment and we have been made to understand that such issues take time to resolve. I have faith in God that she will recover soon with Dr. Karvirs guidance.

3rd, Dr. Karvir is available on whatsapp and emails. Hence, in case his appointment is not available, we can atleast check with him through other medium and he does responds.

4th, i have read many comments about the long waiting time. But I dont see that as a major problem. What matters to me the most is that the Dr. is empathetic, ************* and patient. And honestly, I haven't come across any hospital or clinic where appointments are made dot on time. Here, the reception calls if there is any change in appointment time.

I have never written review ever. I am encouraged to write this because, I read good reviews and took my mom to Dr. Karvir and I am seeing progress.

I was being diagnosed by my family physician as HBsAg positive, 3 months back and was told by the family physician that my liver is damaged and I will not survive for long..I was depressed and sought help of the internet and came to know about Dr.Vedant Karvir. On first look, he seemed to be very young, dashing and confident doc. He explained me about the disease and the current situation of the disease in India. He advised me few tests which were quite expensive, but he gave me discount coupons for the same. After the tests results, he explained that I have Chronic liver disease and started on the antiviral treatment. In last 3 months my liver tests have improved significantly and I am feeling much motivated. Thanks to Dr.Vedant Karvir for all the positivity.

I went to Dr. Karvir for my Father in laws treatment. He was in pretty bad shape, losing weight, frequent fevers, loss of appetite. We knew he had some issues with his gallbladder and liver. He was taking treatment in Pune but was not feeling better. I came across Dr. Karvir's hospital in Malad. My experience with the doctor's treatment is excellent. He patiently listen to the patient and their problems, explains the diagnosis well and treatment is excellent. The best part is he doesnot scare the patient. My FIL is very healthy today. He had obstructive jaundice. ** ** ********** ****** The staff is also good and professional. All the best to your entire team Dr. Karvir.

Extremely bad experience at this clinic. There was a long wait of 1.5 hrs even after taking the appointment and reaching on time. The staff unprofessional and lacks basic understanding of even how to take weight and height measurements. Very rude to talk to as well. I visited Dr. Vedant Karvir for issues related to acidity. He did a thorough analysis and reached to a conclusion and prescribed me medicines. *** ****** ********* ******* ** ******* *** **** * *** ******** *** ********** ** * ******** *** ******** ******** ******* ** ******** He also prescribed me a dose of omeprazole domperidone medicine ***** ******** ** ******* *** **** ** ****** **** ******* **** ************************ The doctor should respect his patients explain the medication he is prescribing and their side effects.

Consulted for Heart burn, acidity and bloating of stomach.

None of those symptoms exist now,although some other symptoms exist for which the treatment is continuing. Dr. Vedant is receptive, listens to me and responds well to my questions on problems and line of treatment. Is honest enough to admit certain aspects of limitations of knowledge in the medical field , and of himself as to which Probiotics work well for which individual. Is young, energetic , enthusiastic in finding solutions to my medical problems.

His support staff at the clinic I interacted with were professional, helpful and acted as an efficient Bridge between the Dr,Vedant and myself.

No hesitation in recommending Dr. Vedant, for Gastroenterology issues.

And one final word: Dr. Vedant never asked me for a favourable word about himself ! What I say is straight from my heart.

*** ****** ** * **** ************* ******* What I liked the most that unlike a lot of other doctors I had been to earlier, I didn’t feel rushed.. he was v patient and heard all my complaints which helped with accurate diagnosis. Very professional and polite in his approach; explained my condition well to me.. I felt 80% relief within 2 days with the medicines prescribed (I was in pain for over 2 weeks prior to that coz of SIBO which could not be diagnosed by other doctors I had been to earlier) ..Although I still don’t feel 100% well as I understand I need to make some lifestyle changes too.. but yeah im getting better day by day.. Would definitely recommend Dr. Karvir to others..

I visited the doctor for my mother's treatment. The doctor has brought relief to her symptoms and I would recommend his medical aptitude for other patients. I have one recommendation: it would be sensible and more helpful to patients, and I think practical for the doctor, if the empty stomach tests and procedures were attended to first and preferably if there's a time slot for it much before the 11am clinic timing. It is impractical and clinically not empathetic to keep hungry/thirsty patients waiting. Perhaps have diff days for tests or an earlier time slot for tests? Hope this feedback helps the doctor's practice and his future patients.

We waited 2 hours for the doctor from 5 to 7. Even after that the reception said it will take till 9 to see the doctor. Very unfortunate to see the doctor doesn’t value others time. It is not that only doctors are busy even our time is precious. This doctor should realise that. Waiting for an hour is understood but anything more than that is I’ll treating others time, which a good human should not do.

First of all, I waited nearly two hours to see him so the wait is extremely long. Secondly he was so busy and had so many patients to see that he finished my consultation within 5 minutes. Did not even listen to my history and what I was trying to explain.

Even after my treatment was over I was still experiencing pain in my stomach for which he recommended I do a colonoscopy. However, he was not able to elicit my trust in him which is why I stopped my treatment with him.
