She has been a part of the medical nutrition therapy team with leading hospitals (Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Medanta-The Medicity etc) and worked closely with the team for implementing and evaluating medical nutrition therapies. She believes in safe weight management and weight loss without dieting, where the achievement is stable and sustained with ease.She has given her 7 years in nutritional management of acute and chronic diseases.She has been trained in medical nutrition therapy from the leading hospital- Christian medical college, Tamilnadu. I've been on a weight loss journey from about 1.5 year now. I did lose quite good amount of weight by just working out. I never felt or liked the idea of going to a nutritionist/dietician and follow some meal plan along with my regular workouts until my weight became stagnant from couple of months and wouldn't budge at all no matter how much exercises I'd do. I was referred to Dr. Nanda by a friend, who was very successful at reaping the benefits of a Ketogenic diet.
I connected with Dr. Nanda over the phone and because of the distance between her clinic and my location, we proceed with an online consultation via the telephone and Whatsapp
Dr. Nanda was extremely detailed in her questions, and understanding of my issue and dietary preferences. Based on her recommendations, I began the Ketogenic diet. Dr. Nanda was always available on the Whatsapp, to deal with fears, issues arising from change in diet and guidance.
She was able to set realistic expectations. Diets are about will power and understanding the results of everything that you eat. In moments of weakness, I would talk to Dr. Nanda, who would never say NO don't eat this and that, but pateintly explain the consequences of the decisions that I was going to make. Her patient guidance, advice and reccomendations, have helped me signifcanly on this weight loss journey, while ensuring that I stay healthy.
Now only were food suggestions given, but also the required dosages of vitamins, to ensure good health.
In less than a month - I've had a transformation from 58kgs to 52.7 kgs, and I couldn't be more greatful to Dr. Nanda. We're on this journey together, and thanks to her this is possible.
The doctor is calm and gives you the space to tell her all problems faced by you in detail. A good listener and then helps chalk a diet plan according to the problems. I was motivated enough in order to lower my stress levels and follow a routine. She is good. Has in-depth knowledge of the core issues. The best part is the solution that she provides is keeping in mind the client's problems and lifestyle. I will rate 9 out of 10 to RD Smita Nanda. She has spent good amount of time to analyze the issues, was not at all in a hurry and after a detailed discussion, gave me the solution which is praiseworthy. I am sure with her expertise and guidance I will be able to get rid of the health issues that I am facing. I know few people whom she has consulted and they are actually benefited. Now I can say my friends are absolutely right in their observations and genuine with the feedback.
Doctor Smita gives diet according to the goal and also health condition. The diet was easy to follow and I could manage with office and lost around 8 kgs. It is a sustainable diet and I didn't put on weight even after moderating the diet. She is very dedicated and also very professional. I recommend her to anyone looking to loose weight post pregnancy.
